Expensive stolen goods
Last week I landed in Johannesburg, traveling from Dubai, only to find out that my bags did not make the flight, I was informed that my luggage would be on the next flight and that it would be delivered to my door the following day. Getting my luggage I already noticed that my bags are not the way I left them, plus the handle of my bag was broken and I won't be able to use my bag again!!! When opening my bags I noticed that things were stolen. I immediatly phoned and got a reference number, on friday 15 July 2011, I faxed my first claim to Emirates, on Monday 18 July 2011 I phoned only te hear they did not receive my faxed, so I faxed it again. On Tuesday 19 July 2011 I received a phone call saying they received my fax but they need more documentation, so I faxed it again for the 3rd time. Today, Thursday 21 July 2011 I phone again to find out what is happening with my claim only to hear that they did not receive any fax!!! So for the 4th time I faxed my claim in with all the needed documentation required. Every time I need to fax my claims, it is costing me money. I need an answer from Emirates and I need it asap!!!
