Not only is his payment method extremely risky but his pricing is terrible. He is trying to pawn off refurbs at retail and above retail prices. There are no model numbers or certainty on his site as to whether an item is new or refurb. I am curious if anyone has had any better luck than me. My account has been open for several months and I am STILL trying to place an order with them! I found this potentially 'great' company on SaleHoo and promptly signed up with them and placed a $600 order on the 4th of April. Its' now the 29/04 and despite numerous e-mails i am still waiting to receive all of my goods, to date i have only received half my order and still can't get an answer as to when i will receive the other half. Don't even try to chat with them or call the listed number, you will only get angry. I had a bad experience with these people. I placed a order and I was billed 5 times on my credit card. When I emailed them about it they claimed the order never went through their system. I had to get the bank to put a hold on my credit card...it took nearly 2 weeks for all 5 transactions to reverse. I lost nearly $1, 000, after a projected estimated at 4 weeks, took SIX MONTHS, and still wasn't nearly complete. I disputed with guru.com who had my money in escrow, and they still awarded the money to the developer even though the site wasn't functional. I provided 10 examples of where the developer failed and it still wasn't enough for them. Avoid guru.com, and if you do use them, never pay anything in advance, and don't put any money in escrow. I had a viper car alarm system after someone broke into my car. After Best Buy installer installed the alarm my car gave me problems. The day after the installation by new car battery was drain. I was late for work because I had to wait for a garage to jump my battery. My car gave me no problems before the installation of the alarm system. I believe the alarm was improperly installed.
