This is one of the biggest scams to hit me to date. Recently I received a letter from a company called American Credit Educators saying that I owe them $300.95, but to clear the debt, I can pay $150. I am sitting here racking my mind trying to figure out who I owe, and why it was in collection. So I called the company, it turns out that a company called UCNB is the alleged creditor. There appears to be another checkbank.biz, purexian.biz and nextdayfinancellc.biz on the ad boards. These guys are targeting college students as well as graduates. They show companies such as PayPal, eBay, Western Union, Bank of America, American Express and Travel Express as their "partners." I am just in the process of receiving a refund from MediaCreative for the unfilled portion of my order. I know they tried, but failed to fill my order, and 1 month after my order time was up, has started the refund process.You do have to realize that this company is overseas, Malaysia as a matter of fact. Selling my sons car on internet has opened a flood of scam artists trying to buy it with certified checks, with extra money for me to pay the shipper, like in Poland? Looking around another site, I found some info on Clearout Club. Apparently, you do not buy anything directly from them. They just have links to sites you can probably find on your own. It also seems as if both the telephone number and fax number listed in whois are both disconnected (I did not try this, I am just paraphrasing what I read.) We have received several calls over the last two or so months with regard to people saying that we are taking money out of their account, or charging their credit cards and they don't know why. When asked who is doing this, they indicate The Auction Resource.net. Secondly, when asked who gave them our number, they indicate either their bank or The Auction Resource.net themselves. This basically how Apollo works as an employer. They run ads nationwide promising big money driving trucks. A typical run for them goes like this. They assign you a used truck that has been sold. The truck is in say Kansas City.You have to transport yourself to Kansas City at your expense by car or greyhound. Then you move the truck say to Atlanta, Ga. I ordered a free trial sample with shipping at $2.95. I soon realized that it was not free when Target Visa called me and said that I had a number of charges on my Visa card. There are 2 charges posted to this account in the amt of $24.95 and $64.95 in addition to the $2.95. I have in my possession the original "free" trial bottle of which I have not opened. I have made every attempt that I know how to get all of these charges reversed and credited back to my Visa acct. I bought a new DVD Player that broke after 6 months. The warranty information is not published very openly on JVC's website and takes some digging to find it. JVC's consumer warranty on this product is for only 3 months. If I had done my due diligence, I would have researched this better before purchasing a JVC product.
