On a recommendation, I purchased the 1st NTFS Recovery software to try and restore a lost file I was in dire need of having on hand. I had used the trial version and, considering the nature of the document, thought that an "unavailable preview" just meant the program could not read all aspects of the document and thus could not display any sort of preview. Since I went to this program on a recommendation from a good friend, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and ordered the full version. After going through and trying to recover, only to be faced with countless documents filled with useless information, I asked for a refund, as the product clearly did not help me with what I was after. In the ensuing conversation, the vendor has admitted that there is a problem with their preview module, but examining their website does not disclose this fact, or anything of substance relating to what an unavailable preview could mean if you try to recover a file. They absolutely refuse to issue a refund of any kind, and have not offered to help resolve the situation in any meaningful way, aside from taking most of my comments out of context and twisting them to their own devices.
