Transmission no good

I bought a 2004 Saturn vue for my daughter in July of 2009 in September of 2009 I have saturn dealership in St Peter repair the transmission for about$2900.00. Saturn help some with the repair. Have been it the saturn dealership two times since today with transmission concerns. the dealership said we were wrong. They could not find the problem. Now the transmission will cost us $6, 000. just for parts. July31, 2010. Saturn refusing to give us a rental car or any reconcilation of this problem. this leave a young mother with two children no transportaton or way to work. This is not justice or fair to any consumer to deal with.

Automatic Transmission Slip

My 2004 Staurn Vue that has 54600 miles on it and the automatic transmission is slipping when when I drive at a constant speed in a reange form 35 - 55 miles per hr. I had in for a diagnosis at a Saturn dealership. They said it is the torque converter that is faulty and it will cost $2100 to replace it. This part has to be defected. I never had an automatic transmission problem in 40 years of driving cars.

I am hoping that this complaint and the NHTSA complaint I filed #10284901 will help in getting Saturn to commit to fixing these problem as a recall
