2004 Silverado Reviews

November 9, 2007
Charge for miles I did not put on!
I leased a 2004 Silverado in September of that year. The vehicle had 7,245 miles on it. I was told that I could still get or put on the 36,000 miles allowed, making that a total of 43,245 miles I could put on before being charged. In October of this year, I turned the 2004 in and re-leased a new vehicle, a 2008 Silverado. I was told that I had surplus money ($1, 873.77) and that would be enough to cover miles over (I had, by my determination put on 48,938 miles) 5,693, and any other costs. A week later I received a letter saying that I owed $1,036.56 for extra miles! The same miles which I had been told I would not be charged for. Now, I paid the lease off 0n the 2004 early (Feb 2006); I have never been late on payments; I used a GM employee number to lease the 2008; we are a family of Chevy owners (1989 Blazer; 1995 1500 series; 1994 1500 series; and a 2005 Impala. Do not all of these things count? Plus the fact that the salesman either mis-represented himself on the 2004 or outright lied to me? I am asking therefore that these miles, or $1,036.56, in other words, be forgiven and I would not be charged for miles which I did not even put on the 2004. Thank you.
