I’ve had my 2005 Malibu since 2006, and have had nothing but problems with the front headlights and turn signals. I have replaced the bulbs multiple times and the entire assemblies once at the cost of $500. I’ve taken the car to the dealer and several other repair shops, spent lots of money…but to no avail! I don’t even know what to do any more. Now I drive around with two front signals that do not work, and a left front headlight that stays dimly lit most of the time. When I go through a drive-through car wash, the left front headlight works correctly for a little while, but eventually goes back out. The dealer said there was corrosion in the wiring behind the assembly… at $900 repair that would do nothing to correct the turn signal problems. But when I think reasonably about “corrosion in the wiring” … Well, why then does the headlight work correctly after going through a drive-through carwash? Just doesn’t make sense. Like others, I’ve checked the recall list multiple times, and this problem isn’t on there. Has anyone had any success with this problem?

Over the years I have spent more than $1000 trying to find a resolution for this problem. I fear I will get a fix-it ticket for something that no one knows how to fix…
