i have electronic payments and i check my statements all the time. my bank sent payments to the given address and routing which was provided by gemb. every month at the same time the same amount has been sent. i'm overpaying every month for a cousion. well my state had a hurricane and it effected my area and had to send camper in for repairs. i recieved a letter from gemb stating that since i was affected by the hurricane that my payment would be added to the end of my contract. my bank payed it anyway. to much trouble to skip a month so i left it alone. i don't have any notices of non-payment. today, i recieved a letter to cure loan default. i called gemb and they tell me i'm 2 months late. i went to the closest branh of my bank and double checked my acct. just as i thought, all paid. my bank told me that's why we had so much trouble setting that accout from electronic payments. they're not a perferred vendor, they didn't make the list. so, today they called me and told me to pay or they will terminate my contract. off the record, i was told to pay them. i was also told that my overpayments should be available for them to use. now, i'm gonna have to miss a day of work to file this notice. i really feel cheated and helpless.
but, my bank keeps all the records i need, and mybe i will prevail.
