Beware
I can say this company is a crock of bull... I bought my policy and paid a years worth of coverage to only find out six months later that they wouldn't cover my cat's diabetes. My cat showed symptoms of something was wrong on two days prior to the policy affective date which was noted on the vets paperwork. So since I was being a good pet parent and telling my vet the truth to ensure that my pet got the best care I got denied coverage. My mind you my cat never showed any signs of diabetes before me taking him to the vet on that day nor was he ever diagnose with it before. So I guess I am suppose to be some kinda Vet and know automatically that my cat has diabetes. GREAT JOB 24 PetWatch you just condemned my cat to a slow painful death! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone...

Stay away
I think it's poor business practice and an absolute racket that 24PetWatch charges at least $14.95 to update the contact information on your pet.
While I understand that they have overhead costs, it seems that they could cover those costs in another way.
If I were making a donation to an animal rescue or shelter instead of just paying them it might be a different opinion but I think they need to reconsider their way of doing business.
Keep in mind that while a happy customer will tell a few people about their experience an angry/dissatisfied customer will tell EVERYONE they can. And believe me, I will tell AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE to not use this company...including the animal rescue that I adopted her from. They should not be doing business with a company that has such poor business practices.

Do not buy from this company
I enroled my pet with this insurance company. The monthly price seems reasonable but their service is below standard. It took them over a month to send us the paperwork. I ended up canceling them and they have not given us our money back after 2 months. I had to file a dispute with our credit card company (I used to buy the insurance). Thankfully, the credit card company reversed the charges. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE SUPER FAST TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT THEY PROVIDE VERY LOUSEY SERVICE AND DO NOT WANT TO GIVE YOU A REFUND ONCE YOU CANCEL...

Tag paid for - never received; auto draft from my bank account for pet insurance policy never issued
OMG! I have had the EXACT experience as that posted by "badcobra" on 3/12/11 re: ordering a permanent ID tag for my dog. Repeated phone calls, same stuff re: "PROCESSED but can't tell when shipped, so, so sorry - would reprocess at no charge", etc., etc.. I've called twice before, but I called again today and was told to fax my bank statement to a supervisor, which I am doing today. They need me to do this to PROVE I actually paid for the tag. (Shouldn't that be in their system since they were "REPROCESSING" my order?) Of course, I am blacking out everything on my bank statement except the line showing that the $$ for the tag came out of my account. Maybe I will finally get my tag after I fax them. (????) After reading so many negative postings, I will be curious to see if I EVER get the tag I ordered FOUR MONTHS AGO.
ALSO, after signing up for their "regular" pet insurance coverage in Dec. 2009, my dog was declined because of his BREED. Why don't they tell you the breeds they refuse to cover BEFORE you take out a policy? The kicker is that they kept drafting my bank account for the monthly charge for TWO MORE months after the date of their letter declining my dog's coverage! Tried to talk to a rep today about getting a refund for coverage they never gave me. This rep was FIXATED on the fact that the policy was cancelled in March 2010. He could not seem to comprehend that I was declined coverage - and a policy was never even issued! Yes, I did call about this issue in March - and that was how it was finally "corrected in their system" and they finally quit autodrafting my bank account at that point. 24Pet Watch declined coverage to me in DECEMBER 2009 (I have a dated letter to prove this), but they took my money for 3 months! THEY OWE ME A REFUND OF $118.70. I had to ask 3 times, but finally the rep begrudgingly gave me an address in Buffalo, NY. am going to write them a letter (hope I wasn't given a bogus address!) to TRY to get them to do the right thing and refund the money they took out of my bank account for a policy they declined to EVER EVEN ISSUE! Crazy that the "victim" has to go through so much and jump through so many ropes just to get a tag or a refund!!!

Never received prodect
I purchased two metal identity tags ($9.95 USD each; total after taxes/shipping around $25.00 USD) from 24PetWatch on 2 January 2011--hit my credit card on 3 January, 2011. The web site purchase indicated that I would receive the tags within 4-6 weeks. I found it a little odd that it would require as long as six weeks to punch out two tiny little metal ID tags, but purchased anyway as I have ordered from OTHER businesses online who indicated similar wait times but I always had the product in 10-14 days. I called in early February and actually was able to speak to a representative. He was professional and kind, and assure me there was no issue, but I was asked to give it the full 6-weeks. So after 7-weeks I phoned again. Again I was able to reach a human being, another professional male voice. He was very apologetic, and told me that he could not guarantee my order SHIPPED, but only that their records indicated it was PROCESSED--when I pressed him he said he had no way to tell if they actually shipped my order. Weird? In any event he said he would RE-PROCESS my order (no charge, of coarse) and expedite it--that I should have it within two weeks. OK, it's been FOUR weeks again and still no order. Sheesh!!! All I can say is NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER order ANYTHING from this company. If they cannot fill an order for two tiny metal dog identification tags in a few weeks, how could you ever trust them to take care of your animals in any ways--they also offer EXPENSIVE animal insurance; I can only imagine they likely NEVER pay out on claims. Thankfully I am only out about $25.00. Good luck!

Unscrupulous billing practices
I bought a policy (though monthly credit card payment) for my dog back in the last quarter of 2008 after finding a link from H.E.B. Grocery's website. I never made any claims against this policy. Unfortunately, my pet died from an accident in late November of 2008. I called and cancelled this policy in December of 2008. The representative was nice and advised they were sorry to hear about my pet's passing away and 24Petwatch would cancel the policy and discontinue monthly billing of the pet health insurance.
When my January, 2009 credit card statement arrived, the $27.95 charge appeared. I called 24PetWatch (866-275-7387) and advised/reminded them of my December, 2008 phone call. The representative apologized and advised that their system may have inadvertently sent the charge through for January and assured me the problem was solved.
My February, 2009 credit card statement arrived and again, the same charge "and" no credit issued for the January, 2009 charge. I called 24PetWatch (866-275-7387) and advised/reminded them of my December, 2008 and January 2009 phone call. The representative asked if I could fax them a request to cancel the policy. I sent a faxed request to 1-866-369-7387 on February 21, 2009 detailing the pet's death and the request to cancel and stop billing my credit card.
The same charge was showing up with no credit for January, through July of 2009. I finally had enough of this and called my credit card company, explained the issue and request a dispute of the charges and to initiate a block of 24PetWatch. The credit card company followed through. After this frustration, I then called 24PetWatch back again and explained the action I took with my credit card company. The representative was nice and understanding and stated "we have no record of you ever calling, writing, faxing request to cancel the policy. So, I resubmitted the request this time fax, and email, and online with a live chat agent on their website (www.24petwatch.com).
This is becoming a full-time job for me chasing/intercepting 24PetWatch's billing issue! After I provided documents of proof to my credit card company, the credit card company issued credit for the January through July of 2009. I thought this matter was as dead as my puppy, but no!; read on!
I have since moved and closed the credit card number associated with this nightmare.
On November 3rd, 2010, I receive forwarded mail from my previous address from guess who? 24PetWatch!!! It is a statement, dated October 8, 2010 for $27.95 (due date for insurance for "July, 2009") plus a $20.00 late fee a total of $47.95. The invoice had an explanation at the top "Declined Payment".
Here we go again . . . I called 24PetWatch today and spoke with a representative about this issue. She was nice at first but became very "matter of fact" after I explained that I am tired of dealing with this. She stated that my July, 2009 payment was declined and they (24PetWatch) for some reason recently received notice of decline from the credit card company. Is this making any sense?
The policy was cancelled 12/2009, I continued to be billed for this policy until July of 2009 and they are just now received notice of dispute from my credit card company in October 2010???????? Smell a rat yet?
She stated that I need to show proof that my dog passed away in November of 2008 in order to wipe out the July, 2009 bill. Keep in mind, I am not attempting to make a claim on this policy, in fact never filed any claims or used the policy whatsoever. I just want this company to leave me alone and get their accounting problems resolved. The representative further explained that I need proof from a vet that my dog passed away otherwise no proof exists. I asked her if I should dig up my dog's grave and show the remains. My dog did not die at a vet's office; he died in my hands after getting out of the backyard and being struck by a car. He was my friend and my buddy. I miss him so much. Over time, I am getting around to not thinking about it as much.
24PetWatch is creating undue stress on me and creating an emotional hell with their terrible billing and record keeping. I will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, and look for relief within the guidelines of the FCBA, Unfair Business Practices, my local congressman, and any other federal law which protects against undue harassment.
In a summary, this is my hell experienced and brought on by 24PetWatch. Do you want to go through this? Just reading this complaint boards, it looks like this company has a pattern of customer dissatisfaction and disregard for consumer rights.

Maintenance fee
I just got 2 cats microchipped at a "low-cost clinic" yesterday and when I went to the website to register them today, I found out about the maintenance fee. I paid $22 per cat at the clinic for the chipping and I thought that would be the only charge. Now I find out that in order to keep the information current in their database, you have to pay a $14.95 maintenance fee per year, or a lifetime fee of $39.95. I went ahead and paid the lifetime fee (for 2 cats $79.90) because I don't want to get the cats re-chipped and there's no point in using the service if the info isn't updated regularly. But, I really feel ripped off. I had my dogs microchipped at Banfield and they only charge you once for lifetime service. No one told me before they put those chips in the cat that I would be in for more charges. It's a rip-off.

They intend to charge the new owners $14.95 for this service
I have 3 dogs which I registered with this company. I am moving in a few months and cannot take them with me. I will be turning them over to a rescue group. I just wanted to delete the dogs from the membership so that the new owners could register them if they want. I did a "live chat" with someone from the company and they told me that I couldn't just delete the dogs. I needed to fill out a form. They intend to charge the new owners $14.95 for this service (if adoption papers are included, fee will be waived). I never paid a fee when I first registered them and I certainly don't want someone who is rescuing my pets to pay one either. I had these same pets signed with another company and all I had to do was log in and delete the animal; no questions asked.

They play on your love of animals
24 Pet Watch is a SCAM. I was sold the policy by the shelter I rescued my dog from. They play on your love of animals. They didn't tell me my dog was uninsurable due to a pre-existing condition ( before I even owned her)until I made a claim. They then said the shelter told them the pet had a problem at 3 weeks old. They took $400, and now ignore me and leave me on hold. I plan to sue these bastards and file a complaint with the Better Biuz Bureau as well as sue my local shelter for fraud.

Beware
Purchased this policy to avoid costly bills since I have another dog with health issues. I have submitted a couple of claims to 24PetWatch and they find every loop hole in the system in order to avoid paying your claims. They are a "scam" company. I have reported them to the BBB (which didn't help us), consumer affairs and now I will be contacted this Attorney General. They need to be shut down!
Beware... DO NOT BUY INTO THIS POLICY
