I went to work for horse and carriage pub as the food and beverage director and soon noticed it was a mistake, this guy that run's the place say's he has been doing this for over 22 year's ...lol but he can not pay for a delivery of product and has to raid the cash registers to pay for part of the delivery and let the rest go back, freezer is broken and has been for some time now, product is being stored in a business next door, all of the employee's complained about not getting thier checks either on time or not at all, another manager and myself were in a meeting with the owner/manager of this place and the purpose of the meeting was to fire/writeup employee's that the manager did not like, one girl that was a bartender that he wanted to get rid of for his own reason's did nothing to be fired over so he asked me and the other manager what we could write her up for...WOW!
my point here is to bring attention to this place and the guy who run's it and to let everyone know he is bad new's .
I started working there on the 29th of oct. and it's now the 17th of nov. and I was told my paycheck would be there on the 16th at 2pm
so I go there to pick up my check and now im told the web site is down and he can not pay me but when it's fixed I would not be able to come in and pick it up because he wants to mail it to me to have me sign for it so I could not say that I did not get payed, well my problem with that is another employee came in to pick up his paycheck and was able to sign a letter right there in the pub saying he got his check so right there it show's that this guy is making up rules and being unfair to people because of his personal feeling's .
I had a server that had to go to cvs next door to buy egg's for breakfast so that customer's could order egg's because the manager did not have product to serve them and if this guy has been doing this for 22 year's like he say's then there is a problem.
please think about spending your hard earned money on a local business that deserves it and treat's the worker's and general public fair, this guy does not deserve to operate here in fort myers and we should not let him rich by doing business they way he does, he is from dc so let him go back there and try to treat people there the way he does here .
I have been in the customer service business for 15 year's myself and was trained very well and it make's me sick to see someone come here and open a business to pocket the money and treat people like crap that work hard for him and then knowing you have three children to take care of and bill's due he give's you the run around about paying you what he owe's you.
