I purchased this Hitachi 55HDS69 Plasma TV and extended 3 year warranty on 12/31/2006. It worked fine until 2/3/2010 when the video died. The audio works fine. The TV was put in a repair shop on 2/4/2010 and they have informed me that they need a pair of boards (TS06623 & TS06624) to get the set going again. The TS06623 is not available and is on back order with no anticipated delivery date. 2 months have gone by and I have talked with Hitachi numerous times ( most recent 3/22/10 ) and still have no idea when parts might be available. FYI my case number is 670630.
Id like to know how a company can do business in this manner and expect to survive?
Please tell me what a reasonable amount time to wait for parts should be.
I intend to share my experience dealing with Hitachi with all who will listen and on any forum on the internet that will allow me to post it.
