No Free Slurpys on Their Birthday
It's a shame that 7-11 has spent millions of dollars advertising the "Free Slurpy Day" in celebration of their 84th birthday and come to find out that the 7-11 close to my neighborhood shut the free slurpy day down at 11:30 am on the 11th of July. False advertisement is what it is. They lure you into thinking you are going to get a free slurpy but hell no. I've spent a lot of money at 7-11 but not anymore. How can a store quit giving away the free slurpy by 11:30 in the morning. The free slurpy deal was supposed to be from 12 noon on the 11th till 12 noon on the 12th. This damn store didnt follow the rules and they quit before it even started. The store is run by an idiot. This makes 7-11 in general look BAD. Keep up yoour poor performance and I'll gladly take my business to the local Loaf-N-Jug. You bet. They have better everything there and their stores dont stink with incompetence.

Poor Customer Service
Every 7-11 in British Columbia will only hire minorities which is reverse discrimination.
90% of these employees have just become Canadian Citizens or they are here on a work visa.
40% know only enough English required to do their job, i.e. if you ask what time of the day it is they won't know what you are saying.
98% of these employees do not know the true meaning of Customer Service. They simply think it means to do their job and that it has nothing to do with how they treat their customers.
95% of 7-11's will not allow the mentally disabled to become returning customers.
98% of 7-11 employees in British Columbia will not tell you the time of day if you ask.
One paticuler 7-11 I live near will ask you to buy pizza and if you say no they will ask you to buy chicken wings and if you say no they will ask you to buy some other type of greasy food until they have gone through the entire list or you say I don't want anything. If you come in every single day and you happen to be short two cents on any of these days they will not let you purchase the product.

Employee attempting to pick my pockrt
I had an extremely unsettling experience this afternoon in the Gladstone Ave and Bell St 7-11 store.
I went in around 4:30 to pick something up for lunch, when I got to the counter one of the employees asked if "this was everything for today" I replied yes.
A second employee behind the counter asked me a question but I did not understand one word he said so i asked him to repeat the question, at this point while I'm being kept busy a third employee was sneaking up from behind and reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out my prescription that I had purchased at the pharmacy across the road five minutes earlier. (Tylenol)
After he looked at my prescription he showed it to the other employees, after they had a laugh he put the prescription back into my pocket and walked away.
when I looked back he was just putting it back, by the time I realized what was going on he was on the other side of the store.
I had to seriously force myself to get out of the store as fast as possible.
I'm not sure at this point which issue scares me the most,
1) that 7-11 employees seem to have this scam going on and that 7-11 Corp office can not be bothered to reply to what I am sure is not the first complaint of this type .
or
2) what I was about to do to him ( simply out of self defense) when I realized he had just picked my pocket, at that moment it took everything I had in me not to react in a negative way.
Picking customers pockets must be a way for some employees to help supplement their income or just something they do for kicks when they are bored?
What would have happened if I had my cell phone, money or anything else of value in my pocket?
This can't be the first time they have done this because, other than the employees laughter to alert me that something was happening behind me, I would never have known his hand was in my pocket, this was done quite skilfully.
Another customer in the store at the time caught up to me outside and suggested I take his name and number in case something else was missing from my pocket and commented on the employees skill.
I honestly believe that 7-11's customers deserve to be warned that this type of activity can and does happen in their stores, however, the 24/7 head of the complaints department Susan Bradley seems to prefer ignoring this issue.
To avoid loosing personal property, either stay away from this store or empty your pockets before entering.
Better still after reading way too many unresolved complaints on other sites maybe just avoid 7-11 completely, after the Quicky Store buy out of most of the 7-11 stores just go to the 100's of Mac's or Quicky stores.

stealing my money
I have a complaint on here for the same store as I am now complaining about. I don't go there anymore. My husband went to the store between 7:30 and 8:00 am Friday, Jan.28th. He gave the cashier a ten dollar bill and the change should have been $7.50. As my husband started walking off counting his money the cashier called him back and said "I gave you one dollar too much back." My husband handed the cashier a dollar and realized he now only had $2.50. my husband said "I gave you a ten dollar bill." The cashier insisted he did not. I know my husband did not have a five because we did not have any cash until I got cash back from Lucky just before my husband dropped me at work. He went straight to the 7-11 and was promptly ripped off again. I was telling my daughter when she told me a story about another 7-11 on Blossom Hill. She was going to pay cash and when the cashier told her the amount she did not have enough cash so she pulled out her credit card. The cashier did not ring anything up until after she pulled out her card. I WILL NOT be going to 7-11 any more. AM/PM or Quik Stop are just as convenient and I have never been ripped off by them or had them try and just take my money and not ring it up... Reacgirlx

forced to purchase unwanted item
Went in to purchase 2 packs skyline menthal 100's, the cashier
rang the item up as I was picking up the packs and noticed they
were King size, not 100's. I asked to get the 100's, he said he could
not change them because he already rang it up. He then called the
store manager, who said its the law...never had such bad service,
will never shop there again. I know he could have switched them out,
he just too damn laze to deal with an over-ring. I didn't even pick-up
the cigarettes. The cashier rang it up too fast, not my fault, he didn't
even ask it that was all, I did tell him 100, s . This was the lazy
manager excuse for not doing the right thing. Who runs a business
like this. Does he really expect to keep return customers, he needs
more education as well as his employees. I was forced to purchase the
wrong product from this store because of his in-experiance as a business owner and the cashiers speedyness(who was very nice).
Guess who the real looser is!

double billing on bebit card and more
I have noticed random one dollar charges on the screen when I pay with my card and when I notice they say it was a mistake and take it off, this has happened more than twice. I have noticed one dollar or more missing from my cash change and they say sorry and give me the correct change. I have paid for something and they did not ring it up, but told me the price, I give them the cash and they give me change from a drawer next to the register. Just today I looked at my bank account online, like I do everyday and I noticed a double charge for the exact same amount. I will go in tomorrow morning and show them my printout and see if they will make it right. I am just sick of them trying to rip me off. I can't imagine how often they have ripped off my husband. 7-11 1434 So. White Rd San Jose CA.

Rude Workers
Here's an e-mail I tried to send to the 7-11 Customer Relations Department, but I kept getting an error so it didn't allow me too.
Alright so it's free Slurpee day at 7-11, and I was on my way home from my baseball game when I decide to stop for my free Slurpee. I have never gotten a free Slurpee before on 7/11 so I just assume that the smallest cup is the free one. I get to the register and the clerk tells me "DAT WILL BE ONE-OH-NIIIINE." Here's how the rest of the conversation went:
Me: "I thought it was free Slurpee day?"
Rude Clerk: "NO DAT ENDED ONE-OH-NIIIINE."
Me: "Okay well just forget it then."
Rude Clerk: "NO, NO, NO! WHY YOU FIIIILL IT UP DEN?!"
Me: "I didn't know it ended; my apologies."
Other Rude Worker: "NO, NO, NO! YOU HAVE TO PAY, YOU FIIIILL IT UP!"
Rude Clerk: "CALL DOH POLIIIICE! I CALL DOH POLIIIICE!"
Me: "I'll go get money from my car, hold on-"
Rude Clerk: "NO, NO, NO! I CALL DOH POLIIIICE!"
Me: "Are you kidding me? My car is parked 'RIGHT THERE!' You can watch me; you can follow me out to my car."
*Laughing from other customers in the store*
Rude Clerk: "FIIIINE JUS' GO!"
So I walk to my car to grab a $5 bill and on my way back in both workers are literally glaring at me as the other customers continue to laugh.
Rude Clerk: "YOU SHOULDA' ASK' ME BEFOOOORE YOU GO AN' FIIIILL IT UP! DAT WILL BE ONE-OH-NIIIINE!"
*I hand him the five dollar bill*
Rude Clerk: "HERE YOU GO; ASK BEFORE YOU FIIIILL IT UP NEX' TIME!"
Me: "Fuck off."
This was by far the rudest customer service I have EVER encountered; I'm an honor student with absolutely no criminal background at all, and I was threatened to have to cops called on me for a dollar Slurpee. I fully expect a response from this e-mail and a personal apology from the workers at 7-11; either way 7-11 has lost me as a customer, and I can assure you that this story will be posted on every blog I can find with the address of the store warning people to never go there if the workers don't suffer any consequences by the 7-11 company.
P.S. Hire some workers that didn't just arrive in the country this morning.

unprofessional conduct
Employee's name: Andy (female. Caucasian. 5'2-5'3. Heavy Built. Brown hair, blond highlights. Brown eyes. Round face, light freckles.)
I went in to 7-11 with my husband at about 8:30pm, August 14th 2009, who was at the time considering getting a double gulp refill. Please keep in mind that we are regulars at this particular 7-11, and the employee of question should know to respect not only customers, but ones who still keep them in business after they removed their gas pumps.
The employee, Andy, constantly bothers the privilege to poke my stomach. Each time i keep giving her the answer of No. I feel uncomfortable with people getting near my "baby bump, " let alone the understanding of why people would want to suddenly touch a pregnant person in the first place. It is not a socially acceptable behavior to go around poking people just because you felt the need to do so.
This time however, she decided to take measures into her own hands, and after hearing me say "no" once again, she responded with "Well your a bitch now arnt you?" To which i finished off the conversation with "I will be now that you've crossed the line."
In my walking away, she had even reported to my husband my "bitchy" ways, because she wouldn't get her way to poke my stomach, and thus, he himself felt insulted with her statements.
The http://www.7-eleven.com website has no customer complaint service, and i plan to go to 7-11 in the morning and complain directly at the manager. If that fails, guess who will be calling the BBB?
The way that Andy handled the situation was unprofessional conduct, and had she even made an action at me even after I said no, would have easily called the police for both harassment, and battery. I will not tolerate a person like that working behind a counter.
If she does that to me, god knows what she could be doing to everyone else she meets.

Unauthroized Ring Up
This is like the second time this has happened, that I have been rung up for something that I never bought. I'm partly to blame for the simple fact that I didn't notice until my husband showed me the receipt that asked what that was, however I had already gotten home and I know they wouldn't have refunded me (how would they actually know if I had purchased it or not.) Anyways it should have never happened in the first place. I don't know if they guy in front of me bought something and changed his mind and I somehow had to pay for the thing he didn't want. But it's really ANNOYING and makes me look like I'm lying to my husband. Lesson to all make sure you get what your paying for.
