I received a call from this number, (716)210-8024, this morning. The number showed up as 0000 (four zeros) on my cell phone. They left a message to call them back at the (716) number. They said they were a financial crimes investigation unti and that if I didn't call them back, they could ruin my credit and take my house, car, and property and also make me lose my job. They even read off the last four digits of my SSN so I thought it was serious. When I called them, the man that answered said they didn't have my name in the system, but they could look it up if I gave them my full SSN and address. IMMEDIATE RED FLAG!! I asked him his company's name, and he insisted that I give him my SSN and address first. I asked him the company's name that filed the complaint, and he again insisted that he couldn't help me until I gave him my full SSN and address. I told him I didn't feel comfortable doing that, and he proceeded to tell me that my life would be ruined if I didn't give him that information now. I ended the conversation immediately and hope to never deal with these people again! BEWARE anytime a company asks for that much information over the phone! These people are scammers (not scam artists because they are horrible at trying to scam people) and they need to be stopped!
