On march the 3rd 2007 I contracted Denny Petratos to replace the roof and skylight on my home. Now on 7/12/10 I discover my roof is leaking from the skylight into my home within the walls going down two floors and coming out in a closet located off of the family room. I call the contractor @ 9:30 AM to let him know of my problem . My roof has a 25 year warranty. He never returned my call . I called back 7/14/10 @12:06 and left another message letting him know that i had called my insurance because of the damage the leak caused and i needed him to check and fix the leak. He showed up later that day and said he would take care of it when the rain stopped.Well the rain stopped and no roofer, so i called on 7/17 left a message againon 7/20 left a message and nothing. He shows up without a phone call to my house on 7/23 and put puddy around the sky light, and stated if this didn't work it would need to be replaced. So it rains and still a leak so i call again on 7/24 & 7/25 - 7/26twice and 7/27-7/28 left messages everytime and got no call back .Until 7/28/10 he called around 3:15 and told me he never replaced the skylight and i said yes you did, And he said are you sure and i said i am positive .So he scheduled an appointment to come to the house @9:00Am on 7/29/10 . So he comes and says that the skylight was not under warranty and that he will order another one and replace it waive the labor but i have to pay 124.00 for the new skylight. That's not right he did faulty work and i have to pay for repairs . The roof has other issues where boards were not nailed down, lifted shingles, and the skylight has no flashing .( which Denny said the type of skylight i have does not need flashing) And that just didn't sound right to me. I have reported him to the BBB but that takes time and meanwhile the roof still leaks causing more damage to my home.I just want what i paid for and i don't think i should pay for repairs that could have been prevented if th job was done right.
