Not happy with the service

Range exhaust fan
This company is horrible! They sent out a technician 2 times before he realized he did not have a clue what he was doing. He kept breaking the part that took a long time to order. Then, when the next guy came out he figured it out, but had to order more parts. Once those finally came in he came back... mind you I am waiting around the house in their 4 hour service time frame each time a tech comes out. Then, he gets the parts, fixes it and breaks another part. He told me he would order it and that I could fix that so that I did not need to wait for another tech to come out. It was just a button that needed to be put on. But, of course when I asked for paperwork on it, he told me I didn't need any. Famous last words as he did not order the part and their customer service refuses to put me in touch with him or his supervisor. Instead they want to send out another tech. They refuse to give me a phone number to contact a competent person. This company is terrible! Do not use them!

Poor Service & Rude Employees
Do not contract with A & E for a factory service plan as they do not deliver on the service. We had a service appointment scheduled for a washer repair. The technician phoned our home and spoke to our daughter who told them that I could not come to the phone (was on a business call having worked from home to wait for the technician). The technician incorrectly or conveniently interpreted the conversation as a reason to cancel our call. When the technician did not arrive at 3 pm, the scheduled time, we contacted A&E to get a status. At that point we were told that the tech had been told not to come, and that they would try to route him to us. There were a number of phone calls, including a number of "disconnects" (convenient for A&E), on getting the technician. This lasted for roughly two hours, at which time their service day was done and they would need to reschedule us.
Aside from an individual in A&E's "Solutions" center, the staff was rude and uncooperative. In each call they pressed that their tech had been told not to come, and that it was our problem that the call had to be rescheduled.
We will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the PA Department of Consumer Protection.

SAmsung Dishawasher
If you are fortunate enough to see this website BEFORE you buy a product serviced by A & E Factory Service, don't say you weren't warned. I can assure you as well that HH Gregg and Samsung don't care either. My dishwasher hasn't worked properly since it was installed in Oct. 09. I will be consulting an attorney later this week about filing a lawsuit for breach of contract. What a disaster...

Won't quit calling me and I am NOT their customer
This company has my number for their customer, although I am not nor have ever been their customer. They have called me at least 25 times in the last 2 or 3 weeks to "schedule service". I have called to ask them to take my number off their list, and I have answered the phone when they called and told them they have the wrong number and to take my number off that customer's paperwork. They call as early as 8:15 am on Saturday mornings, waking me up. Today, I received a call from them at 9:53 and I told them again to take my number off the paperwork then another employee called me at 10:01, 8 minutes later, to "schedule service".

Cheating
I would never call 'A & E FACTORY SERVICE' guys again for any of my services.
They literally cheat. Our 4 year old GE microwave over was not heating.
I called the GE and found our the Mag was gone.
GE also said eventhough we haven't have the extended warranty for our Microwave the parts are covered by the warranty but not the service charges.
We called 'A & E FACTORY SERVICE' thru' GE since we don't have any other authorized service dealers available in our area.
These guy came in and checked our microwave and gave me a list of things that we have to change for $617.00 (when i asked for a copy of his quote he wasn't willing to giving it to me)
He also said the parts are not covered by the warranty and the "GE people who takes over the phone don't know anything".
He also suggested that it is not wise to spend that much on the microwave since we can get a new one for $200
Then he asked $65.00 for his labour & service (not willing to give a bill) saying customer refuced to take the quote for changing Magnatron $192.00.
I don't know how come he can show me a quote for $617.00 and mentioned only $192.00?
What you call this other than cheating?!!
His appointment time was 8.00 am till 12.00. He came in at 7.40am when we were not ready for him. I was in the middle of giving my baby a bath. I had to manage this guy with my screaming baby.
How can i call or suggest these service people to anyone?

no show for service appointment
After rearranging my work schedule, A & E Factory Service failed to show for a service appointment. After they did not show up at the scheduled time, I had to initiate a call regarding the missed appointment. Only then idi the tech call me back and proceed to tell me that he was overbooked from the get go and that he would not be able to make it. I called A & E back and tried to have them send someone else out without any success. I was also told that I could not reschedule until the tech had uploaded his report that night. After talking with someone (Robert ??) in Texas I was told that I could reschedule for the first opening---six days later. It took six days to get the first service scheduled! That was unacceptable. It was impossible for me to be home that day. I asked if priority was given to customers who were "stood-up" by A & E and was told Sorry No.
After reading some of theese other complaints, I understand now that I was fortunate in not having A & E service my Maytag Microwave. I called Maytag and requested that a note be put in my file requesting NEVER to have A & E Factory Service do a repair. I have since scheduled the repair with another service company approved by Maytag and they will be here within 48 hours.

Appliance Repair
A&E sucks. Suck a big lemon. I was forwarded on to A&E by Frigidaire. I never thought I would ever encounter an appliance repair service that is worse than Sears but I found it. The appliance repair man showed up on June 30, 2009. He said I needed a suction line and a compressor. I received the parts on July 6, 2009. I called to schedule service. So far so good. On the day of the scheduled appointment I called twice in the morning to schedule service. I called again in the afternoon to confirm. By 5:30 pm the technician had not showed. I called and was told by the customer service reps that the technician had been to my house and had scheduled an emergency part? Go figure. The managers lied thru their teeth and told me the technician had been at my house. A & E then told me they were going to express ship the part yesterday, overnight delivery July 10, 2009 to arrive on July 11, 2009. But the part did not arrive and while the technician told me he was going to repair the fridge today July 11, 2009 he has not arrived yet.
I did record most of the phone calls I made to A & E. When I told them that it was like exposing vampires to light although they claim they record calls for “coaching” purposes. I even had a customer service rep “yo mama” me which was hilarious. It is amazing what this lying pack of thieves will do. I have been without a refrigerator since before Memorial Day. Today is July 20, 2009; this has been the hottest summer on record. This is cruel and inhumane treatment. Did I mention that this refrigerator is under warranty? No wonder this country is going to the dogs. I have not talked to such a lying pack of thieves since I talked to Countrywide.

no show/poor costumer service
My washer was supposed to be fixed by A & E Factory service on sat between 1 and 5pm. My husband and I were both all day. At 2:00 I went out to check our mail and there was a post it on our door saying "sorry we missed you, we were here at 1:52" Well I think the service man must have had weekend plans and trying to get home early b/c our kids were napping, quite house and we have two dogs that bark. So there was no way we would have not heard a knock on the door or the doorbell. I immediately called the company and explained what happened. They told me he should have called before he came anyways (which he did not). They assured me that he would still come that day. At 4:45 I called the company back to see why we still had not received a call and no one had shown up yet. They told me the service guy was finishing up his job and ours was next and that I should get a call from him soon. No call, no one showed up. I called back at 6:30 and was told that they could not get a hold of him and that they dont know why he did not come, that they could see he closed his previous job and that he was supposed to have gone to my place after that. The worst part is that they would not send someone out the next business day. I have to wait until Wednesday. When I asked to speak with the manager, he also could not help me and told me that it is just my work against his technician's word. Needless to say, I have a different company coming out to fix it. I would never use this company, never recommend them to anyone.

No shows
I have had two dealings with A&E Factory Service and both times they have blown off appointments. They call, confirm and never show up. The worst thing about it is that they take no accountability for it. Offer nothing more than a sorry for their mistakes. The first experience I had with this outfit they called me three days in a row and told me their truck broke down. Stay away.

Dis not show up for 2 appts. for Maytag recall
I have a Maytag refrigerator which is a subject for a recall because of a faulty part which can cause a fire. I made two appointments this past week for a time frame of 1:00 to 5:00. They did not show up for either one despite calls from me. Today, Friday, April 10, they gave the appointment to a serviceperson who did not do refrigerators. He did not come here but called to say he was not qualified to do the repair. Sears called me and said they were not coming and said they were affiliated with A & E. I called again to A & E, and they said they were not coming today 4/10. So I made another appointment for next week, and hope they will come. I am not hopeful that they will keep this appointment either. My name is Mary Ann Del Guercio, and I live in Manalapan, NJ. My phone number is 732-252-6242
