Price gouging
A & E Factory Service - nationwide provider on the list for Kitchenaid appliances. They quoted me a price of $65 for the service call and whatever extra would be charged for time. All I needed was a couple of acrylic panels replaced on my Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator, which took less than five minutes. It cost me a whopping $200. Kitchenaid should be boycotted for recommending this company, and A & E should be put out of business for price gouging.

Refused to honor Warranty
These guys are simply terrible. So many issues and it's been over four months and the dishwasher is still not repaired. It's a KitchenAid dishwasher yet KitchenAid has been more than helpful.
The pump went out most likely due to some piece of glass or broken plate making it's way into the pump. That may be a poor design but A&E says 'customer abuse' and not covered by warranty. I paid for service and part, then KitchenAid says they would honor the warrantee and gave me an authorization number. A&E has been nothing but a runaround, first saying one thing, then adding conditions, then finally changing their story and not honoring KitchenAid's own authorization.
Took three trips for pump repair, then the display panel went out. They ordered the wrong part and another four trips for that. They called four times in one day for the same issue.
A flat F for service. Out of five different repair persons, two I would say knew their stuff and apologized for the company, the other three were straight arrogant jerks.

I would never have these people out again!
We had A & E out 4 weeks to repair a 4 year old Kitchen Aid microwave. We told them it was the microtron (which had a 10 year warranty). The factory rep came out and looked at the microwave and agreed it was the microtorn. However, the rep didn't have the part with him. The part had to be shipped to us and they would reschedule to come out and replace it at another $60 service fee. The part was to be here in 5 - 7 working days. They called and scheduled many times and then whoops, the part actually hadn't shipped yet and they would have to schedule it again. My husband and I have taken a total of 4 days off (we had to notify work ahead of time) and the part never arrived. We now have the part and I have called Kitchen Aid direct to see if we can install the part ourselves as I am not paying another $60 for them to service it and miss another days work. I agree with the other woman the "supervisor" I talked to was very rude. I tried to get a phone number for their headquarter to file a complaint and he refused to give me a phone number only an address. I WOULD NEVER HAVE THESE PEOPLE OUT AGAIN and unfortunately they are the people Kitchen Aid recommend as their certified service reps. I am so sorry I have a kitche full of their products.
