Purchased vehicle one month ago from A&G. Not 12 hrs into owning, the transmission gave me major problems. They said they would take care of it and to go ahead and get it checked at my local Volvo dealership, but just to call Brenda Cohoon first before completing work so she could ok and pay for the work that was done.
Volvo Wilmington said XC90 needed new trans at a cost of almost $8, 000.. A&G sent someone to pick up the car and said they would replace the transmission with a used Volvo transmission. The said they would need the car for 10-12 days. Now, 26 days after they picked up the car, they refuse to fix it and tell me to come pick it up from them and pay half of bills incurred(towing and diagnostics).
Volvo in Wilmington and Volvo of Virginia Beach have both stated the vehicle needs a new transmission. Brenda Cohoon of A&G has told me(on seperate occasions over the 26 days, respectively):
A&G would replace transmission themselves
A&G would give me $2, 000. towards repair and I could deal with it later
A&G's mechanics could find no issue with vehicle
Volvo Va Beach never told them there was an issue
Volvo Va Beach did tell them there was an issue
If there was an issue, Volvo Va Beach would love to earn thier business and they would use them to fix it
I could come pick up the car
I could come pick out another car in same price range
A&G would might resell the Volvo in question and might send to auction
I tried to contact the owner several times and was given the runaround. He was on a long distance call or he was with a customer or he was not there. Finally when I did get him today there was such a loud, argumentative, and uncomposed tone to his voice I could barely understand him but after one of his rants, where he said Volvo only found issue b/c I had "convinced them to" ( yes---I also am so convincing I can get a service manager of a major auto corporation to fake diagnostic readouts and tech line suggestions---?!?!) I asked him if he could please just listen to me for a second, he screamed, "I don't have to listen to you!!".
If I didn't have a payment coming due on a vehicle that I only was only able to drive for three days, that the dealership still has listed for sale as of today and is refusing to fix, If I wasn't out $5, 000. and without transportation, I may find the owner's unintelligible rant and lack of composure amusing, but I am...so it wasn't.
