I wanted to surprise my daughter for her wedding so I took hers and my dogs in to be bathed two days before her wedding and they completely shaved them bald. I told the owner (Ann Jones), who I thought was becoming a friend, that I wanted to have my dogs bathed so she told my when I could bring them in. I showed up when she told me to. The owner wasn't present when I arrived so I told the lady (Vivian) who was there that I wanted them all bathed and she told me they were full. I told her I had spoken with the owner yesterday and that Ann had told me I could bring them in now and I only wanted them bathed not groomed. Vivian told me I did not have an appointment so I could not leave my dogs. I told her I did have an appointment I had made it with the owner, she insisted they were full so I left. The man working there (he was no part of this problem) called the owner and told her that Vivian was refusing to let me leave my dogs. He called me back into the store after I had loaded my dogs in my car and told me Ann wanted to speak to me. She asked what was wrong I told her that Vivian had informed me they were full so I was taking my dogs home. She then spoke to Vivian who reiterated they were full, but not with dogs. Then she got upset and told Ann she would clean out one of the cages. I guess I should have known better than to leave my dogs after that, but as I stated I thought the owner was a friend so I did. When I came back to get my dogs they were completely shaved. I asked the owner what happened. She stated that they did not know what I wanted (I had told everyone a minimum of twice each that I wanted them bathed) so they did the full groom. Now you tell me if you know of any groomer you would go to that extreme if they forgot what you wanted rather than call you and ask. Unfortunately I did not realize how bad it was and actually paid the bill and left a tip. I can not believe I actually paid $130 to have three dogs bathed and then ended up with them in pain and looking horrid. They suffered from cuts and razor burns and it was obvious that this was just payback for Vivian being forced to let me leave my dogs. I was not even the one that forced her to, but my dogs were the ones made to suffer. Not only that the owner agreed with what her employee did and made it sound like my fault because I did not grab the women and scream in her face, DO YOU UNDERSTAND I ONLY WANT THEM BATHED? Who would do that anyway? I figured telling everyone repeatedly would be enough. After all they were supposed to be the professionals.
When I got home I discovered just how spiteful that woman was and what the owner was backing her employee for. One of them spent three days hiding until her hair started coming back in. She was also shaved so brutally around her anus that you can still see the razor burn from a distance. One has spent the past week plus digging and scratching from the razor burns that cover his skin. I have a beautiful Peka-Pug who had beautiful long medium length golden hair that was all chopped off except some ragged parts left around his face. I believe this was an attempt at a lions cut, but it is so badly done you can not tell. I did better on my dogs the very first time I ever held a razor and attempted to cut my dogs. My daughters yellow lab looked great until you started petting her and finding the cuts. And this just two days before her wedding. My Labra-Doodle with the beautiful soft white curly hair was shaved to the skin including her ears except I guess they forgot the lower half and left her legs mostly long, there are some place where it looks like they tried but failed to hack that hair off as well.
This place is a disaster and I do not understand how anyone can stay in business when such a thing is not only allowed to happen, but supported by the owner. It should not have even been aimed at my pets in the first place. If she had a problem with me she should have taken it out on me. My dogs did not do anything to her. Not only that I WAS NOT the one who forced to let me leave my dogs. The owner did that. My dogs were loaded in my car when it happened. I was leaving. And then for the owner to back up her employee by saying, well she did not know what you wanted. Why didnt someone call me?
Do not ever go to this place. They are mean and spiteful and will take their mad out on your pets. And it will be your pets that suffer not the person they are mad at. You wont even know they have a problem with you until you get your pets home. And all this was done to someone the owner was treating like a friend. Imagine if you were only a customer.
