lied to
I was told my recruiter that I needed schooling to take the PTCB and that is a lie #1 that Remington told me. I could have went and signed up for the certification exam without having any schooling. Lie #2 is that the administration and faculty cares. Once you sign on that line and are commited to that $13, 000 tuition they don't care what complaint or problem you have. Don't bother them with it. Lie #3 was the hands on training. I went into the pharmacy technician program and did not have hands on training. Oh sure i was able to count a few pills and SHOWN how to do the rest but there was not much hands on training. Lie #4 is that they help you find a job after you graduate. They help you build a resume and then what you do with that is your problem. Luckily I have done some foot work on my own and had a job before I finished school. I have learned more at my current job site and get paid to learn than I did at Remington where I had to pay them! Lie #5 is that I was told that I had to be certified in my state to work in a pharmacy! That is a lie anyone can work as a technician in my state. I have no use for Remington and anyone who ask me about going there I have told NO! This school is a SCAM out to make money. Your diploma that you get there is not work anything. If you feel you want the equivalent of a diploma from Remington just write your name on a piece of toilet paper! It is worth the same.
