This company started with a great sale rep that promised me to stay with me the whole time when I moved my house from North Carolina to Texas with a smooth transition. They gave me a lowest rate for moving (you'll understand how they tricked me into it) after I shopped around.
So after depositing about 50% of the total charge, the sale rep. told me that the truck will arrive about 3-4 days (ok, that sounds reasonable). After the 4th day, I kept calling the sale rep and she did not return my calls. I had to seek help from my co-workers since my new house was empty. We had to sleep on the floor at night for a week. I was so frustrated and called them to threaten them that I will have my laywer sue them if they couldn't tell me where the truck was (by the way, they did not know where the driver or the truck was until I threaten to sue them). Then they told me that the driver was drunk and got arrested. The police impounded the truck until they send a new driver out. I can't believe that it took them a week to tell me that. I was so stressful with the whole experience with them.
So the truck finally came but the driver wanted us to pay the rest ($1500) in CASH (by the way they only take money order or cash- to avoid tax). So I did not have that much of cash when the truck came, the driver was upset and he raised another $150 for additional wait time (while i'm running around my neighbors to ask for help) otherwise he will not open the truck to load my stuff. It was a total rip-off.
Later there were some broken items that I filed with the drive while he was there. He told me that I can report that with the company but they never return my call or mails. I contacted a laywer and she said I can not do anything except to file a complaint.
PLEASE... PLEASE DO NOT use A-Vanline FOR YOUR moving needs.
