I recently had to do some renovations that got to a point where it was necessary to get a plumber in. Having found an advert in the Yellow Pages, that stated they were the quickest and cheapest, I contacted AAA Plumbing to come in and give us a quote. As we were under a tight time restraint, we accepted the quote for one portion of the work. They require a 50% deposit in order to purchase materials for the job. We paid them the 50%. After AAA started, we then discovered that a lot more work was require and we got AAA Plumbing to requote. As we thought the quote was excessive, we asked another plumber to quote on doing the same job. Needless to say the other plumber's quote was considerable cheaper! We went with the other plumber up to the point where AAA needed to come back and finish the job originally quoted for. As the other plumbers did a great job, all that AAA was required to do was install a few taps. After asking whether they would relook at the quote, I was told that there is nothing that they can do and wont change the quote. The job was finished by the other plumbers. AAA advertise being the cheapest but its quite evident that they are definately NOT.
