HORRIBLE "Customer Service"
Is it possible to give negative amounts of stars? If it were, this business would be getting them!!! HORRIBLE customer service practices!!! I bought a brand new dishwasher from Home Depot in Feb. 2010. It's now the first of Oct. 2010 and the dishwasher won't work. I called the manufacturer warranty, which leads me to a Sears number - who btw will also be getting 0 stars!!! A repairman was scheduled for between 1 and 5 today. At 4 they told me he would be here just after 5 and they would call me with a better ETA at that time. Never got a call. At 5:45 I called them, they said they would have the technician call me on my cell since I had to leave to pick up my son at an afterschool program I put him in so I would be home for the repairman! $$ from MY pocket, and for no reason! Tech never called. I called the Sears # several more time but got various stories. At 7:25 the one customer service rep said he spoke to the technician and he ASSURED me he would be here in 10 to 15 minutes! 40 minutes later, nothing. No call, no tech. I call again, only now I'm given the run-around about how dispatch is closed, etc etc. I asked numerous times for a supervisor but each time I called I was put on hold while be "transfered to a supervisor" and stayed there for 10+ minutes before hanging up and redialing. I finally got ahold of A&E again, who said that at 7:55 their technician called in and said he wasn't going to make it. I am talking to A&E at 8:25! NOBODY bothered to call me!!! I have a large party tomorrow night and need a working dishwasher. I spent my whole day today waiting around for a repairman who never came, never called. Everything I set aside today has to then be done tomorrow! I could have gotten everything done today and waited tomorrow if only they had made 1 courtesy call and told me the truth!!! I would NEVER recommend this company and I would NEVER recommend Sears either!!! This is a Whirlpool dishwasher...last time I buy one of THOSE too! $700 for a dishwasher that is useless to me right now, plus a lot of income out the door since I sat waiting for a tech today. Who will pay me for my time???

awful response
This company is a JOKE.
They have blown me off for a 4 hour window appointment in which I had to take the day off.
I was dropping my daughter off at school and the guy calls to tell me he's in front of my house. I told him I'd be there in 10 minutes and he said o.k. he'd wait.
I show up ten minutes later and he's gone. A sticky note on the door says for me to reschedule.
The repair would have taken 45 minutes and this guy bolts after 10, telling me he has other appointments.
The customer service people tell me that there is no one else that can come fix it and it will be another 5 days till they can send someone out. Are you kidding me? 5 days to fix a freakin' dishwasher. In today's economy they're that backed up. Go hire some more people.
Everyone I talked with was full of it.
This company should be ashamed of the way they treat people.
Never recommend this outfit.

Terrible customer service!
Very poor customer experience!!! I just purchased a new home with a KitchenAid dishwasher. The dishwasher is not getting water to it. Our builder contacted KitchenAid who, in turn, booked A&E to fix the machine. A&E booked a day only a day after the call without even contacting me or my wife about our schedules. We both work, so taking a day off with little notice isn't easy. When I contact A&E to confirm the day, they also informed me for the first time that my appointment window would be 8am-5pm. The tech rep didn't call me until 515pm that day. He arrived about 530pm. Within two minutes of playing with the dishwasher, he said it required a certain part and he used his only one on the last job. He ordered the part and was on his way. Now I get to sit and wait for the part and then sit and wait for another appointment window.
A&E booked an appointment before even contacting me.
A&E only would provide a 8am-5p m service window and then couldn't even meet it.
A&E customer service reps on the phone could do nothing to give me any better information.
A&E sent their tech rep out without enough parts to get the job done in a given day.

Lack of service!
I have a Kitchenaid Microwave that quit working after only 6 months. I called Whirlpool and was told to call A&E for service. I called and was given a service appointment for 8/22/07. The technician showed up and said all the internal parts needed to be replaced and placed an order for parts. He told me to call for repair appointment when all parts had been received at my home. I called on September 10th when all parts were received to schedule an appointment to have a technician come out and install the repair parts. I was given an appointment for 9/19/2007 between 8am and 12 noon. I received a call at 10am on 9/19/2007 from their customer service to verify I was at home. I told them I was anxiously awaiting their arrival. Twelve noon came around and no technician. I called customer service who told me no one was home so I would have to re-schedule. I told them no one ever came to my home and that I took the day off work to wait for the technician and to send him out promptly. I was told he was out of the area and I would have to re-schedule. I asked to speak to a supervisor who stated the same thing--their records showed no one home. I told her he lied and that I was there all along and had been called but she said it did not matter I had to re-schedule. I made another appointment for 10/2/2007 between 8am and 12noon. On 10/2/07 I called customer service at 8am to confirm. I was told I was number two on the service route. She stated she would have the technician call and confirm. No call by 9am so I called again. I then was told I would have to hold for a supervisor. I got disconnected and called back again. I then was told I hung up on them. I was connected to a supervisor who said "you are not on any route today!". I couldn't believe my ears. I was clearly upset and she said we are a very big national company and cannot just send someone out just because you took the day off work again! I told her I had all the parts and was going to call someone else more reputable to fix my microwave after 7 weeks and she said the parts belonged to A&E and that I would have to pay for them. I immediately called Whirlpool and asked for another company. I was given the name of a local repair shop who came out in two days an was courteous and fixed the broken microwave. I told Whirlpool that I could not understand how they could contract with such an unprofessional company as A&E and that I had received no service on my microwave.
