Aaron's Sales & Lease Reviews

Overcharging
I signed to lease a refrigerator after getting my tax return last year. The "total amount to acquire ownership" was $3107.04 according to my original contract. I called to find out how much it would be to pay it out and they told me that it would be $846. To date, I have paid $2770 towards it. This should mean I would only have $337. However, the manager told me that the reason it is more than this is because someone value planned my account in August when I had some difficulty getting my payment in on time. She says that this added interest to what had been left owed at that time. Is it legal for them to add interest to an amount that already has interest included?
