Employee she was fired when she reported her boss for sexual harassment to headquarters, who told her to "get over it".
Catherine Primm was terminated after eight years of employment at Auction Broadcasting Company in Murfreesboro, Alabama when she complained about violations of the Tennessee Human Rights Act.
Primm filed a lawsuit in Rutherford County, Tennessee on May 26, 2010 claiming that general manager William Campbell often referred to her and other women as "b***hes" and that she should engage in oral sex if that is what was needed to secure more business for the company.
When Primm reported the incidents to ABC Auctions Chief Operation Officer Mary Haller at corporate headquarters on May 28, 2009, Haller immediately conducted an investigation and obtained a confession of inappropriate language from William Campbell.
Campbell was required to obtain counseling in sexual harassment and was put on probation for ninety (90) days. He was allowed to remain as immediate supervisor of Primm, who was told by corporate to "get over it" and "put it in the past" if Primm was to continue working for ABC Auction.
On August 31, 2009 Catherine Primm was terminated by ABC Auctions.
