On the 16th of March 2010 I have ordered by online service a 4 pages certified translation (German to English) from ABC Translations LCC. I received a confirmation mail the same day (16th March), confirming the reception of my payment and the commencement of works. The amount was deducted from my account the same day (79 USD).The timeframe for completion quoted was 2-3 days, which suited me as I had to submit the document for university admission by latest March 30th. On March 26th (Friday) I had not yet heard from the company or received anything. I contacted a Senior Project Coordinator of the company, who had previously sent me a confirmation mail. He promised to provide me a tracking number the very same day and a translation by latest the following Monday (30th). On Monday early morning (30th) I wrote again and received the response that he had been out of office and his colleague would contact me any time.
By now, my registration deadline at university passed and I lost a full term of studies because a service supposed to take 2-3 days has not yet materialized after 15 days, despite several reminders and communications. At the time of writing I have not yet received any further information from the company, and of course no translation so far.
