Me and My sister needed a loan. We came across a company called Cusso Loan who apparently help people with no credit/bad credit. My sister received an email from John Cathen stating $8, 000 loan and all she needed was $925 to put down with a monthly payment of 188.00 and as long as the payment is on time the down payment will be refunded.

In the so called 'Contract' it stated the deposit has to be wired within 10 bus days dated on the contract. We missed the deadline. We called John Cathen and he said we have to resubmit the application. We went on the cussoloan.com website and for some reason the website was not active.

We called John Cathen again and he stated that Cusso Loan have merged with Absolute Lending and thats when we submitted the application on their web. Once the application was received the same email and contract with different company name on their. Once the payment was wired through Western Union, my sister contacted John Cathens and he said payment should appear in the acct within 24 to 48 hrs, well the payment was never deposited...

my sister sent an email to John Cathen and then he responded stating that the acct is red flagged and that she will have to submit an additional $1, 000 in order to receive the loan.. my sister right away told him no and requested a refund for the deposit. He then said it will take 30 to 60 days and he will call back 3 days prior to wiring the money back.

I have a feeling the deposit of $925 will not be refunded. What can be done to stop this guy. The BBB seal is also on the website absolutelending.org and from that I really thought they were legitimate.
