Unauthorized charges
Acai A-Slim offers a free 14-day trial supply of their weight loss product if you pay $4.95 shipping. However, in the VERY small print, from what I'm told since I haven't been able to find it, there is a disclaimer that states you will automatically be charged $79.95 per month on day 15 if you don't call and cancel within 14 days. They use a third party company for their billing, DRI Reg Net so it's difficult to track down who this unauthorized charge in your account is coming from. Call 1-877-317-0193 or 1-877-317-0189 and WAIT on hold for as long as it takes. If you do get someone to answer you will her all the other agents in the background with irate customers demanding refunds as well. They will say they have processed your refund "as a courtesy". Make sure this happens. It may take 10-12 days for the refund to show up in your account...if at all. Some have reported never getting a refund and continually being charged and having to fight it each month. I filed a fraud claim with my bank as well and will most likely have to cancel my checking account to be sure I don't go through this hassle again.

Scam-business no longer exist
I ordered the product through the acainonidiet.com website and was transferred to acai a-slim. On December 2, 2008 I received the product but without any papers nor receipt nor any ordered number. I tried to contact the customer service as indicated in the terms and conditions but couldn't get hold of any. Then I sent an e-mail on Dec. 8 indicating that I want to cancel the subscription. Dec. 9, they gave me a confirmation that my account has been cancelled. Luckily, I went through the terms and conditions again, and did call the other company about fitness and cancelled too. Dec. 10, I sent another e-mail indicating where I should return the product. Dec. 11, I saw my bank account has been charged and I called my bank and dispute it. I sent an email and expressed my disappointment at their practices of scamming people. Dec. 12, 2008, I returned the product and on Dec. 15, USPS confirmed that they received the product at 3:18 pm. After couple of weeks, checked my bank statement and saw the charges were finalize despite my despute with my bank. I called my bank again and told them not to honor any futher charges from said company. I lost $84.95. I filed a complain with BBB in Delaware and was disappointed to know that they could not do anything about it since the company does not exist in Delaware anymore. I checked the website today, Jan. 6, 2009 and they appeared to still been operating and did not declared where exactly their location is. BEWARE!!!
