free trial
I recently watched the Ophrah show and they recommended this new acai berry vitamin supplement for weight lose. it was a free trial, the bottle was free to try all i had to do was pay for shipping which was $5.95. Then if you wanted to cancel any further billings, shipments etc. just call and there would be no more charges. i did that twice and the Acai Co. assured me that there would be no more charges of any kind. I recently checked my credit card statement and they charged me $24.95 for no reason. i called them again and they were rude and said there was no trial that i had to pay $ 64.00. They will not cooperate, they are a scam and i had to cancel my credit card because of them. I want people to be aware of this Company, as far as i am concerned they are scamming everyone with false information and they need to be dealt with. I feel bad for people that don't even know they have been scammed by this Company. Everyone needs to check their statements for Company's like them.

Free Trial - Fraud
I ordered a free trial of Acai Advance with having to pay $5.95 for shipping and handling. I never received the product. I contacted my Bank to inquiry about the transaction and was given a telephone number to contact Acai Advance...the problem being the telephone number my Bank had was incorrect. So now I'm having to do file a dispute with my Bank. DO NOT do a free trial offer for Acai Advance..you will regret it.

MIS-LEADING SCAM
BE AWARE!!! SCAM ALERT!!! ACAI ADVANCE is a SCAM comp!!! When I tried to call to cancel my order the phn stayed busy. I kept calling over and over again and finally got through later that day. I spoke with a rep, which she sd that she was a third party and that I need to wait for two days or so to call and cancel. I called back today (two days later). The phn stayed busy and I finally got through; the rep sd that they see my order online ready to be processed, but dont know when it will ship. I told her to cancel and DONT charge my credit card. She sd that she couldnt and I would have to wait until I get the product and return it and get a RMA# in order for me to send it back to do a charge back to my card. I asked they give 15 days to return; she sd yes, but the 15 days started they day I placed my order. Huh??? I told her how can that be when I DONT even have the product in my procession? She sd that's in the term/condition. I told her that I didnt see ANYTHING about that on the TV ad; it ONLY sd $6.95 s/handling and nothing about debit my bank acct $88.97, as I didnt see this term until I had went online (a pop-up hidden term) appeared, but I had already order, which the term wasnt on the TV!!!

All pls make make a claim with your bank after you return the product (certified receipt return)...PLS! Show your bank proof the day you order, day you received product and day returned. PLS report this to your local BBB quickly!!

The other scam is that ACAI Advance is stalling to send you the product so that the 15 days can expire before you return it. If you do get the product back within the 15 days, again pls go by the steps above ans see what your bank can do for you; all banks are diff how the handle these type of issues.

It least you got charged one; I used two credit card. I just order two days ago and still fighting for them NOT to charge my cards. PLS PASS ON. I am a laid off single parent and this cruel!!!

FRAUD!!!
I accepted the trial after for this product but it didn't worked. So I tried to call their 1-888 number and I would either get a busy tone or no body would answer. I couldn't cancel my subscription/membership because I can't even get a hold of them. Then they debited my acct for $64.95 and $24.95 but I didn't received any more product. I just ended up filing a dispute with my bank. I had to cut off my card so they wont be able to make charges anymore but I also have to call every company that I deal with to inform them that I'll be replacing my card. It was such as HASSLE!!!

Fraud
WOW! I've never been duped online before, but there's always a first time.

These frauds sent a "free" bottle of vitamins, which I paid shipping on, then charged our VISA card for another
batch.

The ad CLEARLY states that you have a free trial period and can cancel any time.

Of course, we can't. The phone doesn't work.

Now we'll call VISA. VERY DISCONCERTING that a company can do this.

Thank You for your time.

Deceptive advertising
The attached complaint is copied from a customer from 4/15/09 and has more information.
I entered this website on my home computer and amazing someone from my home town Lodi, CA had used this product and lost 47 pounds! Wrong If you read the fine print at the bottom it says "Testimonials of individuals shown may be of fictitious persons or paid models and are not necessarily users of these products." So I tried the same website on my work computer (since I live in a different city than I work) and wow the same person Alyssa Johnson now lives in the town where I work (Stockton, CA).
Of course I did not do this till I had already ordered the product and called to cancel. The first time I called to cancel I was on hold for over an hour and I had to leave so I hung up. The second time I called I was on hold about 25 minutes and finally got someone. They canceled my order and gave me the RMA # and said the product had to be back to them within 10 days or I would be charged a fee. Then I read the complaint below (thank you for posting it by the way) and found out I needed to also cancel the Live Less for Life Weight Loss Management Plan that I did not know I was signing up for when requesting my free sample of Acai Advance. I called and canceled that as well. They told me the first number should have asked me if I wanted to cancel the managment plan too but Acai Advance never mentioned it.
Do you think Rachael Ray knows they are using her picture and name (spelled incorrectly) to sell their product????
Isn't this illegal? They are really getting away with a big scam!!!
By the way I never used the product. I was afraid to after reading about them.

BEWARE OF ACAI ADVANCED. YOU WILL BE DOUBLED TEAMED!!! I ordered the free trail of the ACAI ADVANCED c/o GLF . The only thing they said you would be charged for is $5.95 shipping. They made me sick so I called and cancelled it within the trail period. They told me to send back the bottle and there would be no further charges and they gave me confirmation #. I asked again… is there anything else I need to do, would there be any more charges to my card and they said no. A week later I have a charge for $24.95… Beside the charge it said, ” PURCHASE VIT*Live Lean AA 1”. I had no idea who that was so I called my bank and they gave me a phone number that was associated with the charge (888-272-6483). I called the number and they said the charge was for the Living Lean Weight Loss Management Plan that I signed up with. I told them that I did not sign up for any weight loss plan and they told me that I did when I ordered the trail order of ACAI ADVANCED. They said when you place that order you automatically sign up with them. I disagreed and asked her to show me ‘on the site’ where it states that I am doing that. Right above where you sign up for the trail there is a bubble that states: … Plus FREE Gift Pass to LiveLeanForLife Weight Loss Management Plan… then she tells me to go way down to the bottom of the page where the site menu is and click on ‘Terms and Conditions’. I then told her no matter what, I did call and cancel and made sure before we hung up that there would be no further charges. She told me that they were a separate company and had nothing to do with them. I needed to call a different number to cancel with them. WHAT A RIP OFF!

unauthorized charges
I ordered Acai Advance for a free trial for 15 days. Then I decided after ordering that I do not need this product. I sent an email to them saying that please cancel my order, instead they sent an email to me saying that we can not cancel it because it is real time and we are sure it will help you and we are offering you free for 15 days. I received shipment after a week and tried the product which made me sick. I called within 15 days, the day I received the shipment and told them that cancel my membership. I was surprised to discover that I was automatically enrolled in weight management program for $24.99. I was lucky that I did not have to pay this because I called with in the 20 day trial period. But they charged me for acai advance because it was over 15 days. They counted days from the day of order not the day you get shipment. How come one can try for 15 days if shipment you received a week after your order. It is rip off and make money from the people already desperate to loose weight and they are looking for anything which can help them to get normal weight. When I spoke with them they only agreed to give me 50% discount for the acai berry advance. I had to pay $32.50 for the product I did not use.
This product is useless, rip off, all gimmick. I would like to let all those brothers and sisters know that there are better approaches to loose weight then trying something online. Talk to your doctor or join a health club. Get determined and I can bet you, you will be benefited and will be happy to have this feeling that no one ripped you off.
Take my advice and do not buy this product. You will be trapped with paying unwanted bills.

pissed in kentucky
this is the biggest scam I've ever seen. DO NOT order any products from these scam artists. they won't even take back a bottle and refund your money back that has never been opened. They want you to think its all your fault. a 14 day trial period is not enough time to try these freakin horse sized pilles to see if they work. I cant even swallow them. biggest rip off ever. Please dont fall for it. I was so pissed on the phone i couldve strangled the woman i spoke to. Pissed in ky!
