I purchased a trial period of Acai Berry. I was to be charged only a trial fee of $3.95 on 12/1/08 and posted on 12/3/08. It was posted charged that day out of Georgia (USA).
A trial was post marked 12/4/08 from zip 33162 (Fulfillment/FWM Laboratories, 2040 NE 163rd St. #305, North Miami Beach, FL 33162-4951. Trial was received and had a slip of paper in there not confirming the order or any receipt but just stating that they had several great products and that the charge will appear on my statement as FWM Laboratories/Healthy Labs/Lipaphen-RX/AcaiBerry Cleanse/Life Cleanse and to call 866-870-0692 for questions/concerns. For any questions on health support, billing, etc...
This phone # 866-870-0692 DOES NOT WORK! It states mailbox full so no one can even cancel a trial period.
FWM Laboratories then proceded to charge another $88 to my mastercard $88.13 ($88 because they charged a foreign exchange rate) on 12/17/08 and then again on 1/2/09 posted 1/5/09 same amount with foreign exchange charges.
I refused the 2nd bottle that was sent to me by just writing refused on the package and my mail carrier sent it back. It was never opened.
I confirmed that they received this back with a man named "Ren" on Tues., Feb. 3, 2009 approx. 10 am who was in Billing Customer support. he told me he would email the appropriate dept. and that I would get a refund on the second charge but not the first because I didn't cancel the trial period within 14 days. There was no way to cancel in the 14 day period, the phone number didn't work. Ren also indicated that I could email [email protected] to dispute the charges. I did the same several times. Ren also informed me that they cancelled my account effective 1/28/09 after receipt of the returned/refused bottle.
My mastercard was therefore charged a total of $176 which was due by 2/8/09. I paid the card in full so that my credit was not affected due to this scam. I reported the issue to my credit card company this same day 2/3/09. I spoke with Corrine who cancelled my mastercard per my request that I used for the Acai Berry and issued me a new card. This way no more unauthorized charges could be made. Corrine also informed me she would report this to the security dept. and affidavits would be mailed out to me to dispute the charges made.
I decided to call back the phone number again (2/3/09, 3pm) that was listed on my credit card statement 866-949-0138. This time I spoke with a female named Chey. She said again that my complaints and issues would be reported to the credit dept. and that I should be refunded my money. I asked to speak with someone else. She told me all she could do was send an email to refund dept. and no one else was there to talk to. She just kept saying the same things over and over again.
Both this Ren and Chey people spoke broken english.
I then decided to do some more investigating on the internet to find that there are a ton of people being scammed by this company. I found additional contact information to try and get my money back which I attempted by sending multiple emails out to various email addresses; [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], cell ph# 678-592-6333 for a guy named West. Many of the consumers are reporting the issues to the BBB, FBI Online Consumer, their District Atty's.
There is not way to find the original site you purchased the material, there was no receipt/documentation with the trial except for a slip of paper with a phone number that didn't work, there was no way to try and cancel the trial period, this company charges your credit card the first time in the United States with an international charge/fee and then the charges thereafter are made from Great Britain with international fee's.
Please check into this matter and if you need to contact me please do.
