berry scam
I ordered this product to "try for 30 days" free for .99 shipping. They then charged my credit card in 15 days NZD 175.64. Tried to call, but representative keep on saying i cant access the new zealand clients or so...my credit card statemnet shows thrice they have charged 175.64 NZD. the terms and conditions shown on the internet which I checked carefully at the time of order did not match what they said on account information that I viewed thus making this trasaction internet fraud.

Cost and non receipt of goods
I ordered the free trial for Acai Berry detox and colon cleanse in the UK paying £3.95 each and I never received the product and my credit card was debited twice with £75.26. I rang their customer services who are referring my complaint to their refunds department. I have informed my credit card company of unauthorised payments and non receipt of goods. This is a major SCAM - stay well clear. If you want Acai berry supplements there are many reputable suppliers, don't get conned like me.

no product no refund
i was billed 2-5-10 for a a total of $166.04 for acaiberry detox and colon cleanse. I did not reorder these items and called to cancel on 2-6-10. I was told a shipment had already been mailed and when the shipment came to send the items back for a full refund. I was given confirmation numbers to use to return items. Well today is the 9th of March and no shipment has arrived and no refund.
I am retired on disability disability and cannot afford this expense. I want my refund! Is there anyone that can assist me?

Money withdrawn
I saw the free advert on the net and yes like a lot of others I have been charged twice on the same day for the product without even having a chance to return them after my 14 day trial. All I wish is for my money to be refunded and have learnt a very big lesson.

credit card fraud
I received a phone call asking if I wanted to try a free sample of acai berry detox for 3.99, I said yes but, that was all. The guy gave me his name and said if i was interested to call back and he could set me up with a deal for 29.95 I never called back. Our bank called and warns me about this 79.69 charge plus the 3.99 charge, they have taken out for four months, that totals around 750.00 to 800.00 from my bank account. This includes a 75.00 nsfunds from the bank. I sent all the product back marked refuse, and after finding out about the unauthorized charges, I called the company and told them I wanted my money put back into my account and they said no, because I had an account even though I had never agreed to an account.

Money not returned
I was charged $86.42 for my "free trial and four days later charged another $86.42 for a bottle I didn't order. I was told to get my money refunded I would need to return the second bottle and was given a Return Authorization Number. Mailed back the bottle with RAN, received an email stating that it had been received. I have never been credited for the second charge of $86.42. Called to ask why and was told it was credited on 1/11/2010. My bank has no record of this credit. Because their records show it was returned I'm just screwed. You call and all they do is read their little script on exactly what to say, you cannot understand them because they aren't American, all the supervisors are "busy" with other calls, etc. One operator told me her name was Xyz. Sounds like a real name to me.
THIS COMPANY IS A LEECH, A SCAM, LIARS AND CHEATS!!! TOO BAD OUR COUNTRY HAS LAWS THAT PROTECT THIS SCUM. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE EMPLOYEES LIVE WITH THEIRSELVES!!! DO NOT, REPEAT...DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATIONS.

Fraudulent charges
I ordered a free sample and was to pay $3.95 for shipping/handling paid for on my credit card. The following month I received another bottle of the product and they charged 83.95 to my card and have been doin so for the past several months. I have called the company repeatedly to cancel and finally resorted to cancelling the credit card

Misleading terms
My daughter is keen on health and exercise and was enticed by the ad. The "free trial" is really a trial in the sense that you will be charged in 15 days of the order - note it's order not receipt. In addition by the time you are charged and wonder what on earth is going on the first monthly installment has already also been charged. Total is over CAD$260 for two small bottles of pills (we have yet to receive the first month's shipment).
The terms are very unfavourable but are hidden from the viewer in terms and conditions in the small print.
I phoned our bank who was well aware of the scam and even had a number to provide to me to contact the customer service. (1-888-325-8623) It appears to be located somewhere in continental Europe. Visa/bank apparently can't do anything because it is their position that the contract is a binding merchant contract because you have agreed to the terms. That is doubtful since many of the terms are at the bottom in a small link. It is generally viewed that such links may not be sufficient to bind users.
When we finally spoke to the customer service they referred me to their web site for an e-mail address - there is none. We finally dealt with a rep who was very rude to my wife because we were demanding confirmation of the concellation and confirmation that there was no balance on our account. They provided the cancellation numbers. We also intend to send a notice by courier to the address buried in the web terms for notice to the company.
We have been told by our bank that if we have written confirmation that we have cancelled that will allow them to dispute any additional charges. They will not however treat this as a fraud and shut down our Visa number. That is probably justified given the various complaints I've seen about people being charged by various companies after giving credit card numbers to this outfit.
Lesson is to be very careful giving out credit card numbers online. If there are hidden terms like this site, then the credit card companies will not help you because you gave up the number voluntarily. I note these guys do not accept PayPal, because I imagine with the type of no refund policy etc. and basic scam that they are carrying on, they would not conform to PayPal's policies.
None of this conforms to any of the consumer protection legislation in our jurisdiction or many other places, but don't look to the credit card issuer to do anything about these unlawful contracts.
