Charge to mu account
I ordered a few trial bottle for $2.79. I did receive the bottle but 4 days later a bill for 87.13 showed up on my bank statement. I didn't even get a chance to open the bottle. When i called them they said it was all in the terms and agreements, only thing is I received the offer in e-mail form and there was not spot to view them. They will not refund any money. What a complete rip-off.

unauthorized charges
I was charged $94 to my debit card after ordering sample of Acai Berry Detox.
I was able to see the charge right away because I look at my bank account online.
I immediatley called the phone number listed with the charge and YELLED AT THEM.
The charge was removed. I rec the sample a few days later, and called them again, just in case they were going to try to charge me for refills without authorization. I YELLED AT THEM AGAIN saying they were scam artists and I did not ever want a refill or any other charge.
Be aggressive!
the number to call to complain is: 866-604-9247
don't wait to call! do it now!

Acai Berry
After subscribing for a free sample plus shipping, I've been billed twice and probably a third time as I write this. Attempts to contact them are frustrating to the point you give up. Talked to them in person and told them I didn't want their product was just trying the free sample. I don't think they spoke enough English to understand.

scam/jerks
They billed me twice and were total jerks on the phone and not helpful. They just directed me to call my bank which is rediculous. After the supposal supervisor hung up on me, I did call my bank. I submitted a claim for the double charges and went down to my bank to change my debit card number so that if they did try to charge me for the subscription in which I canceled that they would be denied. It's not worth the frustration and worry for a measly free sample. Don't do it.

Credit card scam
I ordered the $3.95 2 month trial. I received 1 bottle, then a second thinking that was my 2 month trial, I opened and used them. When I got my credit card bill, I was charged over $180 in charges for all the product. When I called they said something about the terms and agreement on the website, which I thought I read, but apparently not well enough. They send you no paperwork with the product to warn you about cancellation or continued shipments. I am going to try to dispute the charges, but I don't know how it will turn out.
Phone number for them is :866-955-8525

Charged despite following agreement
We ordered the trial offer of the Acai Berry Detox. We have utilized online trial offers before for health care products. It is not uncommon as one can experience reactions, contradictions or just not see the desired results and more honorable businesses will follow through on their policies. We were charged the same day we received the product. One can only speak to someone reading scripted responses to you from a call center out of the country who in no way is able to help you and refuses to give you any additional contact information. It is an absolute scam. We returned the product as directed and we were told that we will not be receiving any compensation despite that fact beause we didn't have the appropriate number when we returned it. This "number" was only spoken of after our first complaint. We always print out terms and agreements when ordering online to have a hard copy to refer to and in those terms no "return number" is mentioned. This was totally ignored by the representative that we spoke to. Please file your additional complaint with ours to the BBB. It's sad and humblig to be taken and makes it difficult for other reputable businesses to be trusted when things like this occurs. Very frustrating.

Advertising Tactics are FALSE
I cannot speak to the product, but I would never purchase it after seeing multiple sellers' advertising tactics.
While checking the weather on www.weather.com, I clicked on a link called "Acai Berry, Side Effects" showing "www.acaihealthtests.com" underneath. It opened a page where "Melissa" was reporting the results of a "controlled, independent" 14-day test of the side effects of 20 acai products. The entity responsible for the testing, number of persons tested, and methods of testing are not disclosed. They do note that none caused side effects and state that "as a public service, they must warn us that only 3 provided real results, with Acai Berry Detox as the best performer." I'm no genius, but it was clear this was not like any other independent study I've ever seen. The site tries to further legitimize itself by including posts from people who've tried one or more of the products. (Lo and behold, the Detox works best when you add the Cleanse...)
These posts are intended to look real, of course. There are a few misspelled words here and there and personal notes from one poster to another (one poster agrees with a previous poster on the acai berry greatness and then comments that she likes the first poster's blouse shown in the picture). There's a pastor saying that with God's and this berry's help, he will lose the weight. Just to show how real the comments are, there are even two posts from skeptics testing the site ("Test - if this shows up, I'll know the comments are real" ). One poster's nickname was even "Skeptic, " just so you'll understand the intent.
Because the comments (especially the skeptics') seemed contrived, I decided to test it with an easy post (just in case there was a moderator). As soon as I submitted, it appeared to show up, but I noted that only mine included a response from the site - "Thank you for your reply, Order here." When I tried to navigate away from the page, I was assaulted with messages offering a discount, telling me there was a live salesperson waiting to chat with me online about the product, etc.
The extra note in just mine made it fail the "smell" test. Could it be a trick? I retyped www.weather.com in my browser and it was still there. Maybe real people could post there? But that message thanking me for my reply and beckoning me to order with just a click was still there, too. Things were still a bit stinky...
I'm no techie, so I may misuse lingo here (please forgive), but it seemed that the sight had locked onto my IP address and knew to show me the page displaying my post. I had one more trick to try. I logged into my desktop at work using our virtual private network. Essentially, while I was using the same laptop at home, I had changed my IP address to my work computer. Back to www.weather.com, link to article...wanna place a bet here? Of course I wouldn't be posting on complaintsboard.com if I had good news. As I expected, my post did NOT show up. As the "independent" reviewer and tester of this site, my perception is that the posts are fake, and therefore I would expect no better quality in the advertiser's product.
While I'd love a pill to work, and acai actually may (as I said, I haven't tried it), I would never order any from a site like this. It's ironic that directly below the links to the various acai "scam alert" threads on complaintsboard.com, are two more links: "Acai Berry Detox Scam, " and "Acai Berry Scam Exposed, " both of which take you into sites where other products are being hawked as the only ones that performed at all, beware of the others. Crazy - scam risk on the page where we're trying to warn others about scams!
All of our mothers told us, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Drats, but I'll keep my money, thanks.

overcharge
A number of charges other than product billing. The charges ranged from $0.05 to $2.33. When I called for a RMA # to return the product, an explained to the customer service rep., that, I was returning two bottles .The customer service rep. neglected to inform me that I would needed to ship each bottle seperately . Each with its own RMA # . One product item was credited to my account, but would not send back the second product item.
