This is a SCAM
Acai Berry Tropic is a scam. Keep far away from them. I ordered my product on 9/22/09 and as of 10/14/09 I had not receieved anything. In between that time frame I tried numerous times to contact there customer sercvice but I could never get through. This might be becasue they think if get tired of holding long enough you will hang up. At one point I actually got through, only to be told that there was nothing they could do for me and I needed to call there shipping department. Well I tried that and the person who answered in shipping was very quick to say that they were backed up and I will be recieving my order by the end of 10/9/09. Seeing how they cannot start the trial period until they have actually shipped the product I decided to give them a few more days. Well the end of 10/09 came around and nothing. After a very, very long wait on the phone I was able to speak to a customer service rep with whom I cancelled my order (keep in mind I still never received anything from them) Well a few days later they charged my account the 88.64. Again I began calling, and yes after a 30 min then 1 hour wait I did hang up. I am still out the 88.64 which they took from my account. I am actually on the phone going on 45 min waiting as I write this. Anyone who reads this do not order anything from them. This sounds like a scam that is being done in a basement apartment in some dark alley. The trick is to delay shipping your order so their trial period expires, even though they are not suppose to begin counting down until they ship your order. Then the second part of the scam is to never answer the phones. there for you are stuck with a product, if they ever do send it out) which you most likely never received and also having larceny committed against you account. I have filed a complaint with my states attorney general and I recommend if you having trouble with them you do the same. By conducting a scam across state lines it becomes a federal offense.

Money taken out of account
I purchased acai berry tropic over a month ago and was charged $1.95 shipping for a free trial, $88.64 for not cancelling my trial, and $ 2.66 international fee for whatever. I have called numerous times and was put on hold for 10-20 minutes each time. I was put in contact with the same representative who everytime I talked to her had a different story to tell. She sent me on a merr-go-round telling me different numbers of days to expect my credit back on my card. I e-mailed the billing department like they said and never heard from them. I returned the product, talked to a manager that said it had been received and the credit should be back on my acct monday (oct 12), then when the credit was not there by wednesday, I called back and talked to the same girl who said my package had never been delivered. These people are frauds and should be punished for taking people's money like they do! But I am not giving up on getting my money back. I am a stingy person when it comes to my money that I work hard for! SO PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!

IMPOSSIBLE
I have been trying to cancel this "Free Trial" for 4 days now and no response! The telephone number listed on my bank records is disconnected and the toll free customer service line is "Experiencing Difficulties" and says to try my call again tomorrow. Tomorrow may be too late! If they charge my account I am going to be overdrawn and very angry! Isn't there anything we as consumers can do to stop companies like this from ripping us off?!?!

dishonest company
ACAI BERRY TROPIC is a complete dissapointment. I have a pending charge of 88.64 on my bank account, and i cancelled this product while i was even waiting for my trial.
I RECIEVED MY TRIAL BOTTLE 3 DAYS BEFORE MY TRIAL PERIOD ENDED! HOW DO THEY EXPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER TO TRY THE PRODUCT WITHIN THAT TIME OR EVEN RETURN THE PRODUCT BEFORE GETTING CHARGED FOR IT!!! Not to metion when i spoke to a lady about cancelling my account, i repeatedly asked her so from this day on there will be NO charges to my account?, (and when i say repeatedly i mean over and over and over) and she assured me there wouldnt be no charges. i HAVE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON THEIR WEBSITE BUT being i had not even recieved the trial bottle in the time i was suppose to i dont think its fair that i was STILL charged the 88.64 EVEN AFTER I HAD CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. aLSO WHEN I CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE, IM PUT ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 5 MINS AND THEN THE LINE DISCONNECTS. iM CONTACTING THE BBB AND REPORTING THEM. i WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING THE SITES ON WHICH THEY ADVERTISE LIKE MSN...YOU GUYS ARE NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH THIS...I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND ITS NOT GOING TO GET TAKEN FROM ME IN THIS MANNER. IM POSTING THIS COMPLAINT ON EVERY WEBSITE POSSIBLE UNTIL SOMEONE LISTENS.

Free Trial Terms
I recently am having a bad experience with Acai Berry Tropic. I ordered the free trial on September 8 and didn't receive my bottle until September 19 which was on a Saturday. I called them on the 21 to cancel my account and was told that since the bottle was shipped late I wouldn't receive any charges if I returned the bottle. I sent the bottle back on the same day with 2-day priority mail. On September 23, I received a charge of $88.64 on my account. When I contacted the company they told me I had to e-mail the billing department for my refund because they do not have access to a phone. This is extremely convenient. They said that it would take 7 to 14 days after they receive comfirmation that the bottle has been returned. It is now September 30 and I havn't heard a word from them. I have talked to several people at their Customer Service and I keep getting the same run around. Under their terms and condition, you have to return the bottle within the 14 day free trial period. I didn't receive my bottle until the 19th, 11 days after I ordered it and that was on a Saturday. The shipping papers included with the bottle said that it was shipped on the 9th. This practice is completely unethical and is simply a way for them to get roughly $89 from cutomers. I will continue to try and get my money back but so far I am getting no where. I have seen several complaints similar to mine.

Scam
I ordered the free trial for $4.95 and then received another shipment. they charged my credit card for $88.64 that I did not authorize. I have reported it to my credit card company to reverse the charge and I am going to block them from EVER charging my credit card again. I have emailed [email protected] and [email protected] about 6 times over the last 3 days and have received NO RESPONSES at all. I am getting ready to report them to the BBB and The attorney generals office. I called and cancelled any future shipments but based on what is being said here - I DON"T NOT TRUST THEM TO NOT CHARGE ME FOR ANY MORE! I have been trying to return the unopened bottle that they sent me but they are not answering. I told them I would not pay to return it since I did not order it. They can send me an envelope or a UPS return shipping label if they want it back. They are CROOKS!

I sent an email to [email protected] on September 9th 2009 requesting that they cancel my order & take no further monies out of my account. However on September 18th 2009 they again took money out of my account in the amount of $88.64. And I have not received any product for this withdraw. I have tried numerous times on or before September 9th 2009 and now to contact them @ the customer service # 1-888-947-8745 and this just rings for a while & then hangs up. I have sent another email requesting them to take me off the mailing list, cancel any futher shipments and to take no further monies out of my account.

DONT WANT it anymore
Freaken Acai Berry Tropic so annoying do they not EVER reply to their customers when they send them emails?? I DO NOT want this "free trial" anymore it's so lame if this site was only to scam people why do they allow them to advertise this online? But anyways after I read complaints about this product I certainly do not want it either. How can you prevent them from taking money out of your bank account? Is it best to just cancel my account and get a new one? Or what? I know that I'm NOT enjoying having to check up on my bank account everyday to see if they're going to scam me.

Money taken from my account, no product, no confirmation
I went on line and ordered from this company; I never got a confirmation number nor did I get the product, but they charged me for the Acai Berry Tropic product. I got charged in my acct for $88.64. How can I get my money back. My number is 708-679-0701 or 708-536-3430.
