I was interested in the free trial offer. All I would have to pay was $3.95 for the shipping charge. On 1/07/09 my account was debited $3.99 (amount in error) for the shipping charge. Then today 1/21/09 again my account was debited by Acai Berry in the amount of $88.00!
For what? I have not ordered anything or given my authorization in any way. I am so stressed out and angry after my experience today. Trying to deal with this company and their very unprofessional and unfair, way of doing business. Never in my life have I experienced such a disregard for my questions and my concerns as a customer. I could not get any real answers to my legitimate questions, due to call center consultant responses as follows: I asked for my account to be credited back because I didn't order anything. I was told, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we will put in a request to cancel your account with that department so that you won't be charged again." My response was, "Charged again!" "I want a refund for the $88.00 charged to my account today." I was then told that unfortunately the 14 day trial has past and that they are within their right to keep this money for the cost of my original order that they received 1/04/09. Then I was mad and I asked to speak with a supervisor. He said that his supervisor (Mary Parker) was on another call and I was put on hold. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, it was clear to me that I was no longer an important factor in their business dealings. They got the money from me that they intended to get and that was it. They were done with me! I hung up and called back...explained again with as much patience as I could find. Again I was told pretty much the same thing by someone else, except this time I was told that they could send a request for a refund back. This time to the "refund department"...but he couldn't make any promise that I would indeed get a refund. Any information concerning refund department is information that the people answering these calls for customer service do not have. They can only send the request and have no idea what may or may not happen after that or when? (Only one phone number available for anything and everything!)
This is what is stated on a small piece of paper that came along in the box with my "Free Trial".

Okay now, should I feel stupid? I do.
For not knowing more or having any other experiences that could have alerted me to this kind of a careless "Fly by Night Operation"!
Times are tough! My finances are as tight as they get and this is going to cause me some real hardship. It makes me so angry with myself and with my own personal responsibility. I feel that this way of doing business is criminal. What can be done to keep FWM Labrotories from stealing another dime from another unsuspecting hard working person? Until I found this page here with all these complaints about the same company I was feeling pretty miserable about how I was going to deal with it. It has helped to be able to vent and talk about it here. Thanks.
