I was scammed by an online ad to "try" a free sample of acai berry supplemet for "$5.95. I have since had $85.90 deducted from my bank account, via my check card twice. I have tried, unsuccessfully to reach the company at their number 866 851 2281 or via their website. www.acaiberrymaxx.com

I waited on hold at the number for over half an hour then left a message.

Is there anyway to cancel this succesfully

As stated in all the other complaints, I too ordered and received my "free" trial of Acai Maxx. I received my bank statement and an additional $78.84 was deducted for a future supply which I'm sure I'll never see.
After 2 hours+ on the computer and telephone, I reached a Kim at 1-866-851-2281, extension 7306 at the company I received confirmation of my order from originally. After giving her my order #, my name and ONLY the last 4 numbers of my debit card, I was told that I never placed an order with them and they had no record of me on file. I though this was rather strange since the email I received, supposedly came directly from this company. She said there was nothing she could do for me since she didn't have record of me, so I ended up having my bank cancel my debit card and send me a new one.
As mine will, most banks will refund the fradulent charges on your card as long as you fill out their required dispute form which can be obtained through your card company or bank. Don't waste time trying to get it resolved through the fraudulent company as you will only cause yourself more grief. Hope this helps!

Ordered special offer at 5.95. It took 6 weeks to receive. Finally recieved in envelope with no instructions or invoice #.

Was checking my bank statement and saw the charge for 79.95. Called the # that was assoicated w/charge and got an answering service. She told me I could e-mail them at [email protected].

I have no idea if they were going to start sending other bottles or not.

Called the other day and got answering service again, she took message and told me they would call back yesterday (Saturday) and still have not heard from them. Will call again tomorrow. These are the 2 numbers that I have found. I have been using the 866 #. 1-888-549-2111 or 1-866-851-2281

I ordered a 14 day trial of Acai Berry Maxx, and did not recieve any invoice or any reciept online when I placed my order.
I did not authorize any recurring charges to my account. I had placed the order on Nov 12, 2008. The terms and conditions that I am being subject to have been revised on Nov 17, 2008 (stating that additional charges will be incurred on my account if I do not call and cancel within the first 14 days). This was not in fine print when I purchased my trial version.
The phone number mentioned on the Terms and Conditions is 1-888-549-2111. Whenever you call that number, you cannot talk to anyone and the mailbox is always full (no matter what time of day or night you call) deftly notifying you that there is no way you can contact them. I sent an email on the account [email protected], but have not been informed of any reciept for the email, or that my order has, in fact, been cancelled.
I need confirmation that I will not be billed another $80 towards this fraud.
The only reason for me ordering the trial version was the promotion being offered by respected people on their TV shows. It seems that they are not aware (or do not want to be made aware) of the frauds that are being commited by the companies that they promote.
Please let me know how to register my complain with the BBB.

I was billed on my credit card without authorization!!! Which caused my account to be overdrawn. I cancelled my Visa check card so that this wouldn't keep happening and my bank is investigating it and will reverse the charges. I encourage anyone else this has happen to do the same. Let this be a learning experience to us not to fall for this free stuff and pay for shipping only giving them access to our card number. I have learned from it and I hope all who reads this will.
