Un Authorized Withdrawl
I also requested the free trial and did not authorize the additional product. I have called them on 2 occassions requesting to stop account and reverse charges, They said they would. They have not stopped charges yet. This is such unprofessional activity by this company! I want my money back. 2 charges for $88.97 for a total of $177.94. I am requesting my back to stop current pending charge.

e-commerce deceptions
The website www.natural-acai-berry.com offers a free sample of a diet supplement. When you place the order you are told you will have to charge the shipping to your credit card so you have to enter it. It's only about $5 so you enter it. The site looks secure and reasonable. There is no indication at the time of charge or when looking at the "free" sample information that you will be joining a "diet club" where your credit card will be automatically charged $70 or more every month. I found this out after the fact. The "terms and conditions" at the bottom of the home page opens into a pop-up telling about the "club" and automatic charges which are not otherwise visible. I've cancelled the charge card that I put the shipping charge on and hope that will prevent the future charges from starting as they've done to so many others. However I wanted to complain on behalf of everyone that this website is suckering in with their "free sample" that hooks people unknowingly into being charged $70 and more monthly. They're preying on unsuspecting people and it's disgusting.
The address I found in their hidden terms and conditions is : Cheshunt Overseas Ltd, PO Box 642, Charleston, Nevis, West Indies, St. Kitts.
After doing online research I found at the UK Guardian newspaper an article saying that Cheshunt is an offshore tax dodge owned and thus operated by Tesco, which is a reputable UK grocery company. If it's any help I found an address on them: Tesco, Customer Svce, PO Box 73, Baird Avenue, Dryburgh Industrial Estate, Dundee, DD1 9NF (It's shocking that a retailer with a good reputation internationally is related to a low cheesy online swindle like this one.)

rip off
i too got ripped off with the free trial of acai, it was only supposed to be 3.95, then i get the stuff and with it came some hoodia stuff i did not ask for, and believe me there was no where on the page that said i was getting it .then i realized i had paid for it, or i should say they just took it out of my account.then a couple weeks later i get a statement from my bank saying i am overdrawn, i went to my bank and a fee was taken out from fitfac.com i called them and they said i agreed to be there client.whats worse is you don't get any thing from them, you just use there web site for something i'm not to sure what exactly.and they would not even listen when i told them i did not ask for this and they would not return my money.so after arguing with the lady, i got on the BBB web site.they have also had complaints and were not getting any answers from them.i hope people really read these complaints before they go for free trials.

no product and charged for it
I am furious right now that I can't get any one on the phone and that I've been charged $87.13 to my debit card and I have not even recieved any product. I was supposed to have recieved the product then have 14 days to decide if I wanted to keep it THEN I would be charged...but I have recieved nothing and am charged anyway. This is ridiculous...and I will be re-payed back if I have to get my attorney involved. Such a scam...it's just ridiculous!

Unsolicited Merchandise
I noticed others had same complaint. I sent in for a free sample of this product and ever since I have been receiving and getting charged $44.00 a month for a product I did not ask for. I want this stopped and a refund for charges to my credit card. I will be happy to send unsolicited merchandise back.

SCAM
I replied to the ad and cancel but they said they will reduce my shipping fee to $1.95 so I did take my chances since they said its a free trial. It happened 11/14/08 am, by noon they charge me $41.85 and because I am not aware of them charging me that soon I did not put any money on my debit account which in the end charging me an overdraft fee of $20.00. So I end up paying $61.85, no product delivered until after 25 days. I tried emailing and calling them to get some answers but I need to wait for 80 minutes. How rude people can get just to earn money, i hope they all burn in hell with the damage that they did us.
