attempt at charges to canceled credit card
Ordered and called and canceled order and the credit card they charged me for original bottle of $4.95 charge was canceled after fraud reported for another similar product same fraudently advertised product so no future charges could be made by this Acai-pure company or any other similar companies.
This Acai-pure CCN Nutra Collections has made 3 attempted credit card charges to this canceled card and are trying to say I owe 3 payments to them and shout at me during any attempts to phone them and I was told do not call them again and that they are turning me over to a collection agency.

Has taken money out of my account without permission. The email says that it is a debt collection. For what? They sayit is for that acaipure. But I only ordered the free trial in December of 2008 and I paid for that before it shipped. I did not order anything else and nothing else was shipped to me. I did not authorize this company to take any money out of my account. I have been on vacation. This constitutes stealing. I will be reporting this to my bank and to the attorny general of AZ.

I did not receive the product
I have received numerous phones calls over the last week, I have return the call giving another contact number to be reach regarding 39.95 charge I had no idea what this was about until today after speaking to a person that was very rude and sharing that he did not believe I did not receive the product. After giving me the address I explain that because he did not have the complete address may be the reason I never received the product. He offer to send another trial order this met giving him my credit card number because the one that was on his record had expired. I did not trust doing that. And since I never received the product and do not wish to do busines with this company. Fortunate he does not have a credit card number to charge me. Hopefully he does not try to cause any problem with my credit. I received email from him after I requested because I wanted his information. I will keep this for my record for future references. thank you. Bottom line if I did not receive the poduct there is no charge, I am refusing to receive another trial offer.

Bait and Switch
ACAI-PURE IS AN UNETHICAL, AND PREDATORY COMPANY - STAY AWAY FROM IT
This company offered a "no cost, no risk" trial of an acai berry product. Nowhere in its advertising did it mention HOODIA products. Upon placing the order for a free trial of acai, I realized that I had bee charged $44. Turns out, I had not "unselected" boxes for HOODIA PRODUCTS. On investigation, I noticed that these boxes had been buried far beneath the screen, far below and out of sight of the "Submit" button.
Although I immediately called the customer service number to cancel, I was unable to reach any human. Instead, a recording referred me to another number that did not work.
I tried calling "North Coast Pharmaceuticals" the notional maker of the charge which did not seem to exist.
Today (22 June) I received email from a person named Kevin threatening third party collection.
It provided several links: to Acai-Pure, to "Terms and Conditions", and to GETORDERHELP.COM.
ACAI PURE is still advertising "Risk Free Trial Offer", although I notice it is no longer slipping in charge for HOODIA products, but entails a commitment for $59.95 per month for a membership, unless specific notice is given to cancel.
Terms and conditions currently state:

I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CONSUMER TRANSACTION INVOLVES A NEGATIVE OPTION, AND THAT I MAY BE LIABLE FOR PAYMENT OF FUTURE GOODS AND SERVICES UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT FOR $59.95 PER MONTH IF I FAIL TO NOTIFY THE SUPPLIER NOT TO SUPPLY THE GOODS OR SERVICES DESCRIBED.
The problem is that the terms and conditions which Kevin insists I subscribed to are not any that I agreed to. They refer to an entirely different "risk free trial offer".
Now, Kevin tells me my $40 bill will be sold and I will become instantly responsible for an additional $100 charge and a bad credit referral.
THIS IS A VERY BAD COMPANY.

HIDDEN FEES
Hello to all!
I am writing about the ACAIPURE. They are a bunch of rip off's. I will never ever order something online again. (well something that seems too good to be true!) I recieved my bottle of acaipure yesterday, and so today i called them up to cancel. I then asked, "Okay, well i read alot of complaints online, will i be billed any other amount BESIDES the $4.95?" & That Mother F**Ker said, "Yes, after the trail period, you will be billed $59.99 for the bottle i was sent" & I flipped out & was balling him out, about how the site doesnt CLARIFY ANY OF THIS IN FINE PRINT. ALL IT SAYS IS A FREE 14 DAY TRAIL @ A PRICE OF $4.95!!! Then some B*tch called me up later that day wanting to sell me this HOODIA WATER & GREEN-TEA EXTREME for only a $1 extra prior to my ACAI-PURE order. WELL my dumb A** said yes, (not thinking anything!!!) & THIS DUDE as i was talking about above, mentioned this during our little phone call today, & said that I will be billed $95 per bottle!!! & I flipped out even more about this, & I SAID THAT LADY DIDNT MENTION ANY OF THIS TOO!! she only said a $1 extra!!! so he sent me & this ladies' phone call conversation, & the recording was very well tampered with, IT WAS SOOOOO OBVIOUS!! I remembered asking this lady. "ARE YOU SURE I WILL ONLY BE CHARGED $1 FOR ALL OF THIS?! & AM I ABLE TO CANCEL AT ANYTIME?!" & THAT WASNT IN THE RECORDING AT ALL!! & I FOUND OUT what part it was at, and it was soo OBVIOUS! I emailed those mother f**kers a nasty email, and im going to call they're a**es up in the morning..Goodness do I feel sorry for them that they;re gunna have to deal with a person like me. Anyways, i called up my bank today & cancelled my Debit Card. HOPEFULLY I do not get billed for these 3 bottles, because its just not fair, NOR right. They didnt mention any of these amounts. So please if you just read this, & was planning on getting anything online such as ACAIPURE, do not do it.. they're scam artists, they will get you no matter how legit they sound. now im paying the consequences. Hope you all found this helpful.

ffradulent charges
Like many others I saw this product on Oprah, I ordered the sample and was charged $4.95. I was not happy with the product. I called the company for an Return Merchandise Number and returned it to the company as directed. They company assured me that I had no further obligation. However I opened my credit card bill and they had charged me $39.95. I have spoken with them 3 times and they keep assuring me that they have credited my credit card account ( I have received a different transaction number each time I call). In speaking with my credit card company they say that they have not heard from the company. Personally I have put the amount in dispute with the credit card company and have turned the company into the postal inspection service.

fraud and misrepresentation
After listening to Oprah say what an amazing product Acai-Pure was, I agreed that I wanted the free trial for 14 days for only $4.95 shipping. The following day I saw a charge on my Visa for $39.95 which I hadn't authorized. When I called (which took several calls to get through) I was told it was too late, the product was shipped and I would have to send it back in order to get my money back, which I did as soon as I received it. I thought no more about it thinking they had received it and everything was settled. Now, 7 months later, I am getting threatening calls from a collector saying that I am a liar, I never sent the stuff back; he was rude and abusive on the phone; when I tried to explain he told me I was constantly interrupting him. He said he was going on vacation and didn't need to deal with me any more so it would be sent to third party collection.
Not only are these people managing a fraudulent business, but they are rude to the people when called. They refuse to listen and now they are telling me that my credit history will be ruined by this, and the charge will now be $129.00 instead of $39.95. Please -- we have got to get these people out of business. I am writing a letter to the FTC.

Solution to the scam
Well everyone. I feel so stupid. I got nailed too. Here is an easy and inconvenient way to fix this problem. Cancel your debit/credit card number and ask your bank for a new number. It doesn't close your account, but saves your piece of mind and gives the finger to the the deceitful $%#&@$*&'s. You have to wait 7-10 business days for a new card in the mail. It's worth it. Take that jerks!!!

Fraud...unauthorized charges to credit card account
Got me too...They are committing fraud and should be shutdown.Same scenario..order on bottle of pills pay only shipping and handling..next thing you know, you've been charged upwards to $90.00 without your consent. I recommend all of us file a class action lawsuit against the con-artist thieves. That will teach em a lesson!
