Beware Fraudulent Companies
November 2, 2009
Fraudulent Use of Credit Card
After receiving a phone call from my credit card company regarding suspicious charges to my card account, I closed the account. Later, I received an unsolicited package from Nutra Foods. I have never previously heard of them nor would I have asked for a free sample due to the dubious nature of their product. Obviously, I never gave them my credit card information either. Yet somehow my credit card was charged anyway. Enough complaints with the card companies have been generated for the card companies to proactively initiate fraud alerts from this merchant. Nutra Foods is fraudulently obtaining (or at best aggressively and deceptively obtaining) credit card information, setting up false orders for people to try to create some legitimacy, and then conning people into paying for extremely high priced, difficult to cancel, subscription services for their “supplements”. The entire company is a hoax and is based on unethical business practices.
Make some noise. Businesses like these need to be shut down. Contact the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorneys General Office, and the FTC. You will also want to contact the fraudulent company to try to cancel. Once that fails, dispute the charge with your credit card company and close the account to ensure nothing further will be successfully billed. When you call the company (1-866-913-0756), let whoever answers the phone know what you intend to do. Let them know they are enabling a company to commit fraud. Don’t let them try to tell you this is an isolated incident. Search the Internet. There are loads of similar complaints against this company. Even the credit card companies have them on their watch list.

Unauthorized Charge
Received an unsolicited package in the mail from Nutra Foods 364 East Main Street Suite 407 Middletown, DE 19709. Never heard of them. Never asked for a free sample. Never gave them my credit card number. Discovered four $1.00 and one $13.95 charge on my Visa card. Somehow this company got my name and card number then sent me a product I did not authorize and charged me for it. I have canceled my card (only way to protect yourself from future charges), disputed the charge with Visa, and filed a complaint with the FTC. These are crooked people and need to be stopped. If you have had a similar experience please go the trouble to file a complaint with the FTC. That is the only way to shut them down.

Ripped Off/Unauthorized Charge
On July 7, I ordered the "FREE TRIAL" offer and authorized payment of $4.95 out of my checking account. I received the product about 2 weeks later. Then on July 19, my checking account was charged $38.00. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS CHARGE. I called the company and CANCELLED my "enrollment" in their program. I asked them to please refund the $38.00 and was informed by the Cortney that they would not refund my money because my "trial period had passed". I am a senior citizen and live on social security and this deduction has caused a financial problem for me now; I am unable to pay my rent now because I do not have enough money due to this deduction. I now am going to file a complaint with the BBB in Middletown, Delaware. I went to the goverment site (the Attorney General) but was unable to find a place to file a complaint. I will try again. I AM FURIOUS. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SUED OR SEVERLY FINED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND PUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOREVER. THEY ARE RIP OFF PEOPLE.

product not ordered
initially ordered trial order, $4.95 plus shipping, product made me sick, flushed pills down the toilet, company has sent me additional supply of product last two months billed at $39 plus shipping. I never agreed to the monthly shipments, the trial was tried, made me sick flushed them and assumed that my experience was over, not so fast consumer, company had my card number and felt they could scam me to the tune of $40 plus per month. phone calls have been received with no ability to give me company headquarters phone numbers or the authority to return the unused product (unopened) and no ability or desire to refund my money. I never subscribed to these shipments or authorized any charges on my account. Truth is the cayenne ingredient caused my throat to swell and shut off breathing, i guess they would rather kill me and blame me for being so stupid that I would believe both Oprah and Rachael Ray. I guess those renown hucksters don't care about representing this type of product and the policies that scam the public.
Help!!

No record of Cancellation
Called to cancel during trail period. Company now says they have no record of the cancellation. They are charging 87.65 each month and will not issue a refund w/o the cancellation number. The one I was gives they say is incorrect. How very convenient for them! Does anyone have a cancellation # to share with the rest of us??

Cancellation Ignored
I have now cancelled this product twice. Cancellation number CDB6344418 and CDB10217199. I am still receiving and being charged for this product. I am calling my bank tomorrow to refuse any additional charges to my account from this vendor.

weight loss rip off
I ordered my free trial on 2-14-09. I understood that I would be in the auto-ship membership if not canceled on 14th day. The 28th was a saturday. The customer service is not open on weekends. Monday 8:00am I was the first person through the 866#. The person that answered told me I was too late. I tried to explain about the 14th day and she told me I was too late and my money would not be refunded. I asked for a supervisor and she told me there was no one else to speak to and then hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I also filed a dispute with my bank. I strongly suggest everyone that has been ripped off do the same. Its the only wasy to stop these people.

Fraud
I too was scammed. I ordered the free trial and payed the $4.95 for the shipping and then a few weeks later was charged $87.65. I called and they said they will not refund the money and hung up on me. Make sure you cancel Fit Factory as well or that will be an additional charge on your credit card for $19.95, I found that out when I was calling about the other money. Their number is 866-407-1022. If you don't then you will soon see that charge. This is nothing but a big scam. You know if 1000 people fell for this like I did that is $87, 000.00 dollars they get for nothing. I will be surprised if I actually see my product too. They said I will get another month supply for the $87.65 but yeah right.
