Credit Card charge
I had a similar experience as Cheryl. The customer service person answered right away and was very helpful in explaining what I needed to do to return the "free trial." She also explained that the 14-day "free trial" means that they won't bill you for 14 days after you've received it instead of billing right away. But they WILL then bill you for that first shipment. She even made the comment that nobody seems to understand that. (Well, duh! Deceptive advertising?) She was kind enough to change the date I received the free trial to a week later so I'd have the chance to return it before they bill me the $59.95 (for the "free trial"). She did assure me that even if I got charged, I still had a 60-day money-back guarantee, so I'd get refunded after they receive what I sent back.
HOWEVER, I had a charge on my cc that I didn't know what it was for:
02/07/09 02/10/09 WEB ACCESS 8007127222 CY $5.00
When I called the number showing on my statement, a recording said to wait 48 hours for the information to be updated on my cc statement (so, then, presumably I'd know what this $5.00 charge was for.) Well, that was six days ago and nothing had changed; so I called my cc company. Lo and behold, that $5.00 charge was from Cyprus (on my statement, it had a phone # with the letters CY after it, which tells where the charge originated). The man at my cc company knew immediately that it was fraudulent and that it was because of the AcaiBurn charge (the $4.95 shipping charge for the "free trial"). He said they charge a small charge first (in my case, $5.00) to make sure the card works. He said that was the 3rd one he'd seen recently.
I'm not saying that AcaiBurn is fraudulently using my cc number, but if they're not, their online security isn't good. I had to cancel my credit card immediately. On a better note, tho., AcaiBurn had not yet charged me the $59.95 for the "free trial" which I sent back earlier this week. Now they can't. And that makes me happy.
Don't let anyone you know order from this company! I believe they're scammers.

fraud
i was one of the fools who ordered acaiburn i was offered a free trial and the clock was ticking so i ordered in a rush. afterwards i read the details. i immediatly called to cancel but of course they would not answer the phone. then i tried their so called 24 hour e chat line to talk to a rep but evidently 24 hours does not mean the same thing to them as it does to me. finally two days later i talked to a rep and cancelled but she told me she could not stop the free pills or the 59$ that would be charged on my account that i had to return the pills before the trial was up to stop the charge. I ordered on 1/17/09 ! I cancelled on 1/19/09! I received the pills on 1/26/09! I returned them on 1/27/09 unopened! sent certified mail priority! On 2/8/09 they charged my account the 59$ So far no one will answer the phone.

SCAM (BAIT & SWITCH)
Acaiburn really is a SCAM! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE 14 DAY TRIAL PERIOD. THE TRUTH IS YOU JUST DON'T PAY UNTIL THE 15TH DAY. I ordered the free trial on 2-1-09. I received it yesterday on 2-9. While waiting for the shipment I went online and read all the complaints, I wasn't too concered because most seem to not understand that they had to cancel within 14 days. I did understand that so thought I'd be okay. WRONG. Today (2-10-09)when I called to cancel because I would be unable to try it long enough to see if it works because my trial 14 days was already almost up and I just received the package, they informed me that I (and EVERYONE) WILL ALWAYS BE CHARGED 59.95 ON THE 15TH DAY NO MATTER WHAT. She said the only way to get my money back is to return the product at my expense, insured at my expense and upon receipt my credit card will be refunded within 2 weeks (we'll see, I'm not feeling confident though). Here is the break down, EVERYONE IS CHARGED $59.95. EVERYONE! EVERY ORDER! THERE IS NO "FREE 14 DAY TRIAL PERIOD! WHAT THEY SHOULD SAY IS YOU ARE NOT CHARGED UNTIL THET 15TH DAY. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS BAIT AND SWITCH!!! TRY SOMETHING ELSE - ANYTHING ELSE!

telephone lines discontinued
I have tried to call Acaiburn on two different Florida telephone numbers and there was an automated message to state that these two numbers, 800-659-3588 and 800-712-722 had been discoutinued.
I wished to cancel any future orders, as the tablets have made me feel sick.
Seeing all the complaints by other users wishing to cancel, I did not wish to have any more money, taken from my bank account.
What I have done is cancel my credit card, and have a new one re-issued. The new one will have new account number details on, so this company, will not be able to take further cash sums from me.
I advise other people to do the same.

not allowing cancel of charges
So called free trial is not free at all. clearly the order confirm states "if you are not sure after 2 full weeks after receiving product, you are still fully covered by 60 day full money back guarantee". However when calling to cancel any FUTURE shipments, you are told that the initial cost of $59.95 will be billed to your acct, after your 15 day trial period to decide if you want the product or not. I've been looking and can't see that particular disclosure. Is there a place to make a formal complaint for this misreprenstation?

Acaiburn
Hey guys, the response Posted: 2009-01-06 by Acaiburn is accurate based on the terms and conditions in their website. Most people (except the stupid ones) would not touch Acaiburn if they have read the terms and conditions. However, those who did not read are not necessarily stupid or fools as Acaiburn said. The fact is that most people are too trusting and they do not expect to be charged when they do not have the product or they not use the service. Those who made the mistake of not reading the terms and conditions are not stupid or fools. They just fell into a trap!
The future complaints against Acaiburn may come from your friends or loved ones. If you do not want that to happen, spread the word around how Acaiburn does business. You probably have forwarded jokes to your friends, relatives and acquaintances. You can do the same thing, only this time, it is not a joke.

Unauthorized Credit Charges
I took advantage of the company's free trial offer, and when the product arrived, I paid the €5 shipping fee
and the the price of the product was debited from my credit card. This was to be a trial offer, and I naturally thought I could cancel, if I chose to do so, but that did not turn out to be the case. My credit card account was debited on two subsequent occasions for the amounts of €46, 67, fraudulent debits by the company, for I never, in any way, requested additional products from this dishonest company. Although the debits were effected, I never received the products, which I certainly do not now, or ever, desire.
What can be done about the scam perpetrated by this company of thieves??? I demand that they refund the
two completely unauthorized charges of €46, 67 they stole from me.

fraud
Just wanted to let everyone out there know how I handled this AcaiBurn charges to my Acct. without permission. I did 2 things. Mailed back the bottle from UPS/ insured it. Put ID# on outside pkg. & letter inside being explicit about my so-called cancellation reasons. I was told to do this. Went to my bank w/many on-line complaints in a folder & was specific about how I handled mailing it back. You should present yourself properly w/ a folder w/ proper info. inside & dressed approprietly also so that they wil have respect for you. They looked up the charges of $59.95 & told me to close out my old ckg. acct. & open new one. I cut up old credit/debit card & am now waiting for new checks to come in mail & new credit card. Bank is going to refund my money by putting it into my new acct. Also filled out bank affidavit as to what happened. Hope this works for you, too. Let me know. The bank was already aware of the problem.
