Fraud
Complete rip off. Initial price is $4.95 shipping AND $39.95 for the product. There is no 14-day trial. This is a total lie and illegal advertising. The product is also absolutely worthless.

Continues to charge for products not ordered
Like so many others I requested the "free sample" which I would receive for only cost of shipping and once I received it I then called the 800# and requested cancellation of any further shipments. But they have continued to ship to me AND continued to charge my credit card. I am now having to fight the battle through my credit card company.

Charged after cancelling
A Scam! I ordered free trail for 4.95 and cancelled my order after recieving free trial. I was still charged 39.95 after cancelling. NO remorse from company. they told me I didn't cancel. This is a shame and disgrace to take innocent, hard working people money.

refund refusal
This is a rip-off company! I never opened the bottle of product, and when I asked to return it, I was told to ship it with a delivery confirmation. I was told I would not be charged, except for the $4.95 shipping and an additional 15% restocking fee. A significant price to pay for something I never even opened! I was also told that I should call back to make certain the product had been received or I could give them my delivery tracking number so my credit card wouldn't be charged. Surprise! They charged me anyway! When I called, the young girl told me I would have to wait until they actually received the product before any refund would be made. I explained what I had been told, but she couldn't do anything, she said. I asked to speak to her surpervisor or manager, but was told that the next person in command was the president of the company and he doesn't take calls. So this is a VERY small operation. So much for customer service and honoring good business ethics. I can't vouch for the product but knowing "apples don't fall too far from the tree, " I can only assume the product is worth as much as the company's customer service and business practice. I still haven't received my refund and now have received another shipment, even though I cancelled the membership!! I urge everyone to consider very carefuly the companies you do business with. I regret I didn't take my own advice!

deceptive practices
I ordered a $4.95 free, trial offer of AcaiPure. It was stated all over the website that this was a FREE, TRIAL offer. All I had to pay for was shipping. Once I received the product, if I chose not to continue then I could cancel with no further obligation. Well, there is NO such thing as a free, trial offer. It is a full price, bill you later offer. The only way they won't charge you the $39.95 fee is if you return the bottle unopened with a RMA number within 14 days. My bank account was charged $4.95(shipping) + $39.95(full price of product) for this FREE OFFER a week after I called to cancel the product! What is so FREE about paying full price? When I called to complain, I did not raise my voice, but I told them I was not happy that my account had been charged after I had cancelled the service. It is only in the fine print, which I had read, but misinterpretted, that this is explained. It is about as clear as mud & in tiny, fine print at the bottom of the packing list when the FREE TRIAL offer is in huge letters all over the website. This is deceptive advertising. I was then told I was "blacklisted" from ever ordering from any of their affiliates because I complained & was not happy with the fine print. They had already charged my account, they had their money & yet I was "blacklisted" from them for calling to inquire why my account was charged for a FREE trial offer. I have never been blacklisted in my life, but if I must be blacklisted, it might as well be by a company of scam artists. Anyone who knows me knows that I am about as polar opposite of blacklisting material as can possibly be. So, with a lot of frustration I am being forced to pay full price for a clearly advertised FREE product. Their customer service schemes are just as deceptive as their advertising. I was offered a complimentary $15 credit for my trouble, not even half the purchase price of the product, & then less than a minute later that credit was revoked because I would not change my story that I was unsatisfied with the company. Go figure? Do NOT do business with AcaiPure unless you are intentionally seeking to heap frustration upon yourself.

charged even when canceling order
The web page says "Claim your RISK FREE Trial Offer Now", but the risks are hidden in the terms and conditions fine print pop up at the bottom of the page. If you don't cancel before the 15 day free trial is up they will automatically bill your credit card for a new shipment. Another catch is if you do not return the unused portion before the 14 day free trial expires you'll get billed for $34.95 (the remainder of the bottle after the 14 days is up). I've been using it for 3 weeks with no positive effects at all. I didn't read the fine print and didn't think they'd take back an open bottle. Don't waist your time or money. It is a scam.

scam and overcharge
These pills and products ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WORK. Plus, they say it is a free trail, $4 or $5 for shipping. Then it asks if you want additional products for about $40 - if you SAY NO, IT SENDS THE PRODUCTS ANYWAY. Then it CHARGES YOU AUTOMATICALLY EVERY MONTH, even if you send the product back un-opened, with the Return Authorizaion number and all the documents it requires, and the bottles unopened. EVEN IF YOU CANCEL, IT CONTINUES TO CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. EVEN IF YOU DISPUTE IT WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY, IT STILL CONTINUTES TO BILL YOU. THEY SHOULD BE IN JAIL.

returned product but no credit
I ordered one bottle of Acaipure on 01/02/09 and paid for it by credit card. I then received a second bottle and I returned it on 01/26/09 stating that I only ordered one bottle and I asked for my Visa card be credited. Then in early February I again received a bottle of Acaipure and again I returned it requesting that my Visa card be credited. I just received my Visa statement and no credit for the two bottles were shown. I called their 888 number in Arizona and received no help whatsoever. I think that this company is a sham and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Austin.
