Purchased Acer laptop from QVC Network with a three year warranty. The top of the case of the laptop cracked after two years. when I tried to get them to honor their warranty, I was first told the warranty was out. However, I have another year on the warranty. It took me 4-5 days to speak to a live person after being jerked around by an automated answer system I was encouraged to use.
The information of proof of purchase and warranty documentation was faxed in. Never got a reply that it was received or inputed. Tracked them down and found that it was received and inputted. I was reluctantly put through to Repair service by sales and techsupport to a live individual, who tried to tell me the warranty states it does not repair broken plastic. I informed him I had read the fine print and my copy did not say that. He told me to go on line and get the one he was reading from. I let him know I refused to get a copy that states it didn't cover it.
After a lot of run around conversation, I asked to talk to the supervisor. I was denied that by some more reterick from the associate. After telling me to just send it in and it would be determined if it would be fixed by the warranty or I would have to pay, he asked me if I still wanted to talk to the supervisor and I said yes. Then he disconnected me. I tried calling back and I could not get through again through the automated service. I then tried to send an email. for three more days I received a message ERROR PROCESSING EMAIL. Needless to say I have not gotten an acceptable answer to my situation.
