over charged
Overcharged for a virus on Laptop /tecs did not have enough education/told to get disk on acers never was needed/was held on phone long then got disconneted/ended up with 2 dicks that I would of been charged for????

Bad Service and Poor Products
I bought an Acer Travelmate Netbook just over a year ago. My sister got the exact same Netbook when I did. We take good care of our electronics and have never had such problems with computers. Six months after I got my Acer Netbook, the harddrive blew. I sent it in to Acer, only for them to reply that no harddrive was insatlled. I forced the company's technician from which I originally baught the netbook to open the netbook's HDD compartment, and there was the harddrive. Acer technicians clearly are incompitent and cannot fix simple matters such as a blown HDD. One month after the warenty expires, both Netbooks start to crack in the same place. I've never seen this happen with any other brand. Acer HQ in Johanesburg, South Africa informed us that it is not their issue as the warenty has expired. They have poorly manufactured hardware and software and I would inform everyone NEVER to buy ANY Acer products.

Non-delivery
I ordered a Acer Laptop computer for my wife while we are in Hawaii on a job assignment. The flex pay option was a great deal on a nice second laptop. I got a conformation email and thought everything was great right? Wrong, the email said nothing of a "verification" phone call, and with my message box full, they held up the shipment. Fine, I contacted them through live chat and they tell me to call a verification toll free number. Called the number while chatting and during business hours, and get the message that they are closed. The live operator is stunned and tells me to leave a message and I do.
Next day I get up and call them. They say they have cancelled the order because they couldn't contact me (tried once) because the order was going to a different mailing address and it was over 48 hours from the order date. I say fine can I just re-order, she says "No!" it's sold out. I tell her I called during business hours yesterday and you were closed, she says "yes, there was a meeting, you should of left a message because we check for them". I said I did and she basically called me a liar. As I left the message the day before I also sent them a email which was the same conformation email they sent me stating that there was not another requirement for me to do in order to get the computer, and they never even bothered to return my email.
I am done with them. All because of their meeting during business hours I lose out on a computer. How can a business the size of HSN have a meeting and shut down a department during the business day? Then call me a liar about leaving a message. You can't lie about that, it is recorded. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Acer bullying and lack of integrity
We bought an Acer notebook for our customer from Tarsus in Feb 2010 and found that the left mouse pad button was not working.
I phoned Tarsus to report the matter and was told not to return the unit to Tarsus but to take it to Acer. Tarsus told me that Acer would book it in as a DOA (Dead on Arrival) and credit the unit. So we purchased another notebook for our customer and booked the faulty notebook in at Acer.
Acer got back to us to inform us that they failed to find anything wrong with the unit, and that they would not issue a DOA on the product.
If the unit was not faulty, why would we have taken it to Acer in the first place and then purchased the exact same unit a few hours later? Also when the notebook was handed in at Acer, they would not give us the opportunity to show them what was wrong with this product.
I can only assume that when Acer received the notebook, they corrected the problem then turned around to tell us that they would not issue a DOA. Why should I now have to receive this notebook back from Acer when we are unlikely to make use of it?
I am yet again very disappointed with Acer.

Acer Complaint
I had faced problem in getting service for my Acer Notebook. There was lot of delay in getting service . Under desperate situation I contacted Acer Call Center Acer Service Center but could not get proper response or commitment. The delay was badly affecting my work. After lot of internet search, I could get email id of the Chief Customer Officer ( [email protected]) . After writing to Sudipto Ghosh, I got revert from one of staff named Sudhin Dev ( [email protected]) . Thereafter my long pending problem was resolved with sped and accuracy. I also found some of the email ids - like [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], (I think nro stands for North Region, wro for West Region, sro for South Region and ero for East Region).
I got these Acer mail ids after spending lot of time in searching and browsing. Wanted to share with you, so that you do not face the agony and delay that I went through.

Incomprehensible error message
Acer need to have normal people, not geeks, write error messages in plain English. On crating a recovery disk, I get this error message:

Bad condition of new laptop
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in regards to an Acer laptop, which I unfortunately happen to possess. Some important details of the same product are furbished below.

This is to bring to your notice that I have had a pathetic experience with your product. It has not been even 3 months since I have purchased the product and the 'RAM' has already been replaced.(for obvious reasons).
To add to my agony, even after this replacement, I was told by your technician today that the entire motherboard would have to be changed.
The laptop is in such a bad condition that it simply refuses to work!
The screen goes blank, it shuts down automatically, makes weird noises, etc.
To my amazement, when i requested for a complete replacement of the product, my request was turned down with the following reply- "Our company does not believe in replacing the product, only part5 would be replaced".
This is evident that I have been given a defective product altogether.
If this is the way a multi-national brand like yours works, then I would be glad to file a law-suit in the consumer court shortly.
No matter how big your brand is, I assure you that I would do my best to tarnish your image by word of mouth.
I feel utterly disgusted even by the very name of your brand now.
This laptop happens to be the first and the last product of your brand, that my entire family or my friends would ever buy.
On top of this, it is hard to lodge a complaint for a problem in your customer care.
What a non-sense way of dealing with your customers.
I seek an appropriate solution to the above mentioned issue, failing which I would be forced to take a strong legal action against your company and its attitude towards the customers.

Bad customer service
In the month of July I sent back my 22" Acer Monitor. The problem no power ON. The shipping cost was 29.99 they would reship at their expense.
The problem I have they sent the monitor back not fixed. Their answer no fault found. It still has the same problem and they want me to ship it back at my expense. The warrenty on this monitor is three years parts and labour. I refuse to spend another 30 plus taxes to resend the monitor that has the same problem that was not fixed the first time. Its under warrenty and I have called their help line and they said to resend at my expense. I want a new monitor. I am not going to keep calling or sending emails. This is there monitor with a warrenty the monitor is only 8 months old. I will never buy anything acer makes again and of course I am going to spread the word about their customer service in stinks and they don't care.

REFUND
I RECENTLY PURCHASES A DESKTOP COMPUTER FROM HARVEY NORMAN IN ERINA AND I HAD ONLY HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS WHEN THINGS STARTED TO GO WRONG. I PAID ALOT OF MONEY FOR THIS COMPUTER $4, 500.00 SO ONE WOULD EXPECT THAT IS WOULD BE OK FOR AWHILE AT LEAST. I SENT IT BACK TO ACER FOR REPAIR AND THEY SENT IT BACK WITH NOTHING FIXED. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN SO THIS TIME I TOOK IT BACK TO HARVEY NORMAN TO ASK FOR A REFUND BUT THEY REFUSED. THEY DID SOME TESTS AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG. NOT ONLY WAS THE DISK DRIVE BROKEN WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE BUT THEY REPAIRED IT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I ALSO FEEL THAT I WAS MISLEAD BY THE SALESMAN INTO BUYING THE COMPUTER BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS LIQUID COOLING BUT THEY ARE NOW SAYING ITS NOT. IM VERY CONFUSED AND DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO NOW. THE COMPUTER IS STILL PLAYING UP AND NO ONE WILL HELP. ANY SUGGESTIONS.
