On June 6/19/09 I called the company Central Air to give me an estimate on a new A/C, heating system for my home. The sales person/Owner of Central Air came to my house and gave me a price for a new system, which was $3, 681 for a 3.5 ton. He also stated there will be no interest and I will have monthly payments for 36 months. I asked the owner 3 times while he was in my living room are you sure this is the final price. I will not get any surprises when I get the bill and he said no as a matter of fact he said I will not get a bill for 60 days which he lied because I received a bill in July which was only 30 days, but I did not think nothing of it because the 1st bill I got from Wells Fargo I did not see any Finance charge. I was also surprised because when the owner ran my credit he never mentioned or informed me that Wells Fargo is the bank he finances through. I then told him I will let him know because I was waiting on other companies to come and give me a price also. After having the other companies come and give me a price I decided to go with Central Air. The next day I called the owner and before asking him to schedule me for the AC installation I asked him one more time over the phone about the price and the terms and he said yes confirming the price and the terms. On 6/25/09 the company came and installed my new system. On 7/1/09 I received a call from owner wife Central Air stating she needs me to sign a charge slip so they can get paid. I said sure do you want me to stop by the office and she said no I can fax it to you I said okay and gave her my fax number. When I received the charge slip the terms me and the owner talked about were not filled in so I went ahead and filled it out, signed the charge slip and faxed it back to her. She calls me back and said I am not supposed to fill out the bolded box. I told her that is the agreement me and the owner made which was NO Interest and monthly payment for 36 months. She puts me on hold and returns stating yes that was correct. I told her I am signing the charge slip just as long as the terms the owner and I agreed on are correct. I signed another charge slip she faxed over and as she requested I did not write on the bolded box and faxed it back to her. When I received the 2nd bill from Wells Fargo I was totally shocked because I noticed a $75 finance charge. The next day I immediately called Central Air and asked why am I getting a finance charge of $75.00? On 8-18-09 as per the owner wife request from central air I faxed my first bill and second bill and she said she will call Wells Fargo and find out what happened. As per the owner wife and the owner of central air, wells Fargo will not give them any information so I would have to call. I went ahead and called Wells Fargo and spoke with a nice lady from customer service. I asked her why am I getting a finance charge of $75 dollars when I was informed by the owner of central air that there will be no interest and I will have a monthly payment for 36 months. She informed me that those were not the terms filed by central air. I could not believe it. She informed me Wells Fargo needs something from central air stating those terms mentioned above so they can make the adjustments. I called Central Air and left messages for the owner. A couple of days go by and I keep calling central air asking to speak with the owner, still no response. On 8/31/09 at 8:16am I called Central Air again and left a message for the owner to call me ASAP. I still did not get any response so I decided to take the next step and go personally to his office. On Tuesday September 1st, 2009 I went to Central Air at around 7:45am and spoke with the Secretary but before going inside I saw the owner standing by the front desk and when he saw me he quickly left to another room. I went inside telling the secretary I want to see the owner and she said he was in a meeting. I told her I need to speak with the owner because this issue needs to be resolved today. She went over to the other room to speak with him and then came back stating the owner said he spoke with Wells Fargo and they will contact me. I said wells Fargo did contact me and said the terms on my account are correct as being billed based on the fax central air sent to them, which was the 2nd fax the owner wife sent to me and told me not to fill in the bolded box. I told the secretary I called Wells Fargo and I was informed that central air needs to give them something in writing about the terms me and the owner agreed on which is no interest and monthly payments for 36 months, so the adjustment can be made. She then started writing what I said down and said she will let the owner wife know because she is the one that handles all the paper work. I then asked her what time does she come in and she said about 9:30am or 10:00am. I said okay I will be back around 11:30am; I will also call wells Fargo to see if the documents were faxed and she said okay but give her till about 12pm. I said okay. I came back to the office around 11:30am and she was in the front desk with the secretary. I asked her if she faxed over the documents to wells Fargo and she said no she did not have a chance and is working on somebody else paper work, she then stated she is going to lunch at 12:00pm and will work on it when she returns. I said okay what time do you get back from lunch and she said around 1:00pm. I said okay I will be back at 1:30pm. I came back to the office at 1:30pm and she had a letter for me stating she spoke with wells Fargo and they said the terms on the account is correct and cannot process my paper work as I am requesting at this time. I told her that is not correct because when I spoke with the owner the person I made the agreement with he told me the terms will be no interest, monthly payments for 36 months. I even mentioned to her that she made me fill out another charge slip because I was not suppose to write in the bolded box, where the terms no interest, monthly payment for 36 months was located at. I informed her that when I made the agreement with him I asked him 3 times in my living room in front of my kids and my husband making sure we were both on the same page about no interest, 36 month and monthly payment. My husband said to the owner wife why is he hiding. She says he is not hiding and calls him to come out of the office. What a surprise! he was there all this time. He then comes out bursting, yelling you do not come in here disrespecting and I am not hiding. He then invites my husband out the warehouse to fight, mean while my husband was calm stating I am not yelling, I am just saying you are hiding. He continues yelling stating get the F out of my office and threatens to call the police. We tell him go ahead and call them but he does not. He continues to yell and his wife is holding him back so he wont hit my husband. He then tells his wife stop holding me, dont ever do that again. His wife tells him to calm down. He was not only yelling at my husband but also at me. The only person who did the yelling was him. I told him we only came to fix this issue, because when we made the agreement I asked you 3 times while you were in my living room are you sure the price is $3, 681 no interest, monthly payments for 36 months and you said yes and now I am getting monthly bills with a $75 dollar finance charge. I also told him you are hiding because when I called you before you never called me back. You called me once at the beginning of the dispute and you said you will call me back to let me know what wells Fargo said and you never did. I again told him that the agreement we made was for $3, 681, monthly payment, no interest for 36 months. He then said he does not know why I am getting a finance charge of $75 dollars because none of his other customers have a finance charge. I told him well it is happening to me and we need to fix it because I cannot pay $75 of finance charge. I am paying what we agreed on which is $3, 681 no interest monthly payments for 36 months. I told them I called wells Fargo and spoke with Logan and she stated they need something in writing by central air with those terms which is monthly payment for 36 months and no interest. She stated she called wells Fargo and they stated they cannot do anything about it, which is not true because I received a call from a billing representative from wells Fargo on 9/2/09 and I explained to the billing person what was going on and again she tells me the same thing as customer service all they need is something in writing from Central Air about the correct terms. I called 9/2/09 at 2:42pm to let the owner wife from Central Air know what Wells Fargo had told me and got no answer. I tried again at 2:49pm and I left a message with the secretary for her to call the billing person from wells Fargo. On 9/3/09 at 11:52am I called her to see if she spoke with the billing person from wells Fargo and she said she called and left her a message but will try calling her again. I told her that her husband was going to have an answer for me on Friday 9/4/09 about what will happen. I called the billing person from wells Fargo 9/4/09 at 11:14am and left a message for her to call the owner wife from central air. I called Central Air on 9/4/09 at 11:44am to speak with the owner and as always he is not available. I left a message that I need to speak with him ASAP. I have tried calling central air numerous times and got no answer. I also left messages and got no response. I went to the office of central air again on 9/8/09 and he approached me stating how are you doing? And I said not fine and he asked me why what happened? I stated you said you were going to call me on Friday 9-4-09 and you never did. I told him what is going to happen and I swear to you he looked me straight in my face and stated he faxed over the new terms to Wells Fargo that Thursday 9-3-09 and to give it till the end of the week for the paper work to be processed. I asked him for a copy and he said he cannot give me a copy. I told him if he cannot give me something in writing I want him to remove the unit from my home and he said he cannot do that. I again asked him are you sure you faxed the paper work? and he said yes. I gave it more than a week for the paper work to be processed, on 9-21-09 I called Wells Fargo to check if the fax was sent over as per the owner stated he did and as per wells fargo representative he said no. I called Central Air and asked to speak with the owner and of course he was not in the office. I asked the secretary to call him on his cell phone and have him call me as soon as possible. The day went by and as of this date 12-30-09 I have not received a call from central air and wells Fargo has not received any corrected paper work. Wells Fargo has on file the conversation they had with Central Air about what they need to do to correct the terms.
I have written to the owner of Central Air and informed him if he is not willing to fix the terms as we agreed from the beginning of the sale I would like to have AC unit removed from my home and get reimbursed for the total amount of payments already sent to Wells Fargo. He has been hiding, not returning any of my calls. This is a simple situation that the company could have taken care of a long time ago. The owner needs to stand by his word, be honest, professional and care about his customers.
I hope you can help me by getting the word out so this unreliable, untrustworthy company does not continue doing harm to other customers. I am so disappointed with this company and hope you can see why from what you have read. I will put my hand on the bible and swear to you that I am telling you the truth.
All I am asking is to have the agreement made from the beginning between the owner and myself corrected which is no interest, monthly payments for 36 months. If the owner cannot stand by his word I would like to have the unit removed, get reimbursed for the total amount of payments I already sent to Wells Fargo and he would have to pay the penalty fees from Wells Fargo. My AC/Heating system is not working properly. The heater does not shut off automatically. I have called central air and left messages and no one has returned my calls.
