Shopped at Menlyn & paid by credit card-transaction was deducted from my account-not showing on their side as the lines went off. Understandable...Solution?-reverse & repay or check with bank and release merchandise? NO!
The cashier called a supervisor - we explained what happened-no communication with us as to what she intended to do-just something about having to reverse the transaction-which she tried to do by phone.. Not knowing what to do & not understanding the banking system she deducted a second payment. Asking for the manager-was informed that she was the manager!
Our merchandise was put at the back of the tills out of our reach - after stating that 'this will say here (until paid)'-implying we would ste@l it! She carried on-trying to rectify the situation-back in her office coming out now and then, handing me the phone-without telling me who I was speaking to. On request to keep us informed she just walked away. This went on for 2 hours (us standing at the till) She then informed us that there was nothing she could do... Obviously she knew that we paid(twice!)but we could still not take the merchandise & had to leave! (Did not even apologize!) No service|communication!
