A rude woman called me the other day not identifying herself properly and asking me for personal information. She kept rambling on about how my loan payment was 5 days late.
I finally stepped up to her and explained that I had been trying to pay them for over a month and every avenue that they told me to pay via was not acceptable as I was in the Cayman Islands and they were a US company and all the payment options they had were not workable from here. She just continued to be rude and I had to to tell her that I am not taking this crap or the late fees etc and that they need to check their call logs of how many times I called them trying to find some solution because it is not that I don't want to pay the loan but simply that they do not take any form of payment that is available to me. They do not accept any form of electronic payment: No credit card or debit card, or wire transfer and that the Western Union Quick Collect bill payment was not available to me because I do not posses a US Bank account or card.
She continued to be rude so I told her to call me back in 5 days because that is how long the mail would take to send her the draft that I mailed. She then asked me, what is a draft. I told her, that it is a check drawn on a US bank. Still this avenue of payment seems like it may not work but that is the very last option. So if they can not take payment that way then, I have no other form of paying them.
When I got these loans, I paid the school directly via credit/debit card...also, repayment options did not suggest otherwise...So what am I suppose to do? Their customer service skills are not helpful to me, an international student. I am sorry but this is all that I can do.
