Took my vehicle to Active Green & Ross Newmarket for a routine oil change. They offered to top up my fluids and I agreed. A week later my transmission failed and I took the car to a Transmission specialist. who noted 4 things 1. my transmission dipstick was not secured but was in fact pulled out with the cap wedged in adjacent hoses 2. I had 2 different brands of rear struts on my car (Green & Ross had replaced my rear struts just a couple of months prior) 3. When it became apparent that the only solution to my transmission problem was to have it rebuilt and the tires had to be removed, he found that the lug nuts were on so tight that they could not have been removed at roadside if necessary (I had purchased new tires from Green & Ross just a few months before and they had not been changed or removed since) In checking with my owners manual, it seems that overfilling the transmission fluid level causes the exact type of transmission failure that I experienced. Green & Ross has done quite the dance on insisting that there was a pre-existing transmission problem & that they have no part in my transmission failure. -They charged me full rate ++ for new struts that don't even match and possibly were just what they had laying around the shop because you can bet no supplier shipped them like that for my car work -They have superman working for them, since they insist they only hand torque when they change tires, which also cost me much more than the original quote. -My transmission dipstick was propped out of position, suggesting that someone knew that a mistake was made but it was never fixed This shop is the most unprofessional, dishonest shop I have ever dealt with. They should be ashamed of their practices or overcharging for poor workmanship. Ruining my transmission and completing denying any wrongdoing is a travesty. They took advantage of a female consumer and they have no conscience about doing it. Beware of Green & Ross. They are out to make money on your innocence. They are the epitome of Rip Off Artists Judy
