I was having trouble putting my 2004 TSX into gear, clutch felt stiff and made creaking noise.
I took it to Acura of Ocean hoping they would provide good honest service(major mistake)
They told me that I needed new clutch assembly with flywheel because it was burnt and flywheel had cracks.
The damage? $2000. I could not afford that much, I took it to my dad's friend's shop whom we used to go to church with hoping to save some money and ordered all the clutch assembly from an OEM online seller. He opens it up, and finds NOTHING WRONG with the clutch assembly. The problem was clutch master cylinder which does not cost nearly as much to replace.
I am dumbfounded and angry. I spent a thousand dollars on labor and car rental to get him to open up the clutch assembly and there is nothing wrong. How can this anyone do this to their customer who go to them for help? They take advantage of people who need their cars to go to work and are desperate. This needs to stop.
