I was at Kensigton Square on March 16 and purchased products from ADD TO YOUR HEALTH for over R1000. One of the products I purchased was Life Preserver

antioxidant which was R263. I did not look at the product for at least 2 weeks as I went on holiday but when I did I noticed that it contains Red Wine

Polyphenols. I am Muslim and cannot have anything that contains red wine, even in the smallest amount or even in extract form. I got really busy and only

called to check if I could return it (it was unopened) and explain my problem on 26 April. The manager/owner Emma said she cannot help me. her tone became a

little aggressive and she became uncooperative. She refused to do a refund on the grounds that 1 month had expired since the purchase. Firstly, her till slip

did not have any information saying that purchases must be returned within a month and secondly the item expires in june 2013 so there was no grounds in that

regard. After I asked her if she can do an exchange she said it would be fine as long as the exchange is of the same value. I am assuming by this that any

lesser value item will not result in change, seeing as she was so militant and unhelpful when it came to getting a refund. Emma even told me it is just an

extract of red wine polyphenols, and I can still take the tablet. Aside from the religious insensitivity that irritated me, the rudeness and bad customer

service, I then had to hear her refuse my husband a credit note so we could take other products of the same value. Our reason for return was not

groundless.She proceeded to tell my husband that it was our fault for not returning it within the month and told me it was my fault for not reading the

numerous ingredients properly when I purchased, really now? Sometimes people are distracted and do not notice everything listed as ingredients and only see

it later, it happens, there is no need to be rude. Eventually, my husband said he would have the product dropped off and he would send it with someone to the

store the same day. She kept insisting that I have to bring it in personally (no clue why). My husband told her it was not possible and that he was sending

it anyway and she could keep the money (we are not rich enough to overlook losing money uneccesarily but we were so frustrated by her stubborness by then).

We sent the tablets through and she still did not send a credit note but sent a message that we could come take something to the same value if we want. I still feel dissapointed at her rudeness and inability to be reasonable. What I cannot understand is that she could not even be a little

accomodating considering it is a product that she claimed is her top selling antioxidant and has a long shelf life?
