Discriminates
Adecco does not try to help minorities get jobs. And if they do they try to get you jobs at the bottom of the barrol. Look for another job agency that sees beyond the color of your skin and sees the years of experience. I have sent many resumes for job openings and have never ever gotten a call back about any of there job listing. I have sent a resume with refrences and they dont even call your references. This company only hires non minorities. Have you gone to there office here in Boston or in Portland Maine, there all white and they look at you like you just walked into a clan meeting.

customer service
I called Adecco today to apply for a temp job in customer service. Although i have graduated in social work i needed a temp job until the right social work job came along!! I was put through to a lady called Stephanie Pugh who has to be the most unhelpful agent i have come across to date. She would ask me a question about my experience and every time i tried to answer she would interrupt. I had forwarded my CV to her five minutes prior to call and accidently sent her my draft copy. The draft copy did not have dates of my recent employment. I apologised and told her i would send her the right one now. She replied it was too late and she would not be taking me on for any work?????? When i tried to explain she would not listen and was just eager to put the phone down. I can not believe how i was spoken to and ill be honest she has left me feeling really annoyed and angry. That is no way to treat people! This is the first time i have ever contacted Adecco and believe me it will be the last!!! I would advise all the rest of you not to bother either

no response by phone or claims
HI Am Ragini b worked for Aircel through Adecco i had submitted my pf in the month of june but their is no respone of my claim status no body are bother to accept calls or no body are responsible to give proper answer why the govt is paying them we dont no my pf no is Kn/bn/34272/221766. Some one says at bomasandra and some one at penny but one qwuestion the phone lines are continously engage at bommasandra off i thionk thedy are too bussy taking to their family relatives . please show concern to the employees if u people dont do this and please dont deduct the amt like pf k hope the all people who ever working in pf officve are just working for salaries and etc.

Not Getting Paid
I started working through Adecco on 9/19/10. I worked 30 hours my first week. Well on 10/1/10 I was supposed to be paid my first check. My check was not in the mail. I figured that maybe since it was mailed it might take an extra day. Well I did not get a check Saturday or even Monday. I called the office and asked why I had not received a check. I was told that I wasn't even in the system, and that my hours were not input into the system. From there I was told that an emergency check would need to be cut for me. On Wednesday I was finally told that I needed to call to have an emergency check cut. Well I spent quite a bit of time not only on the phone, but in the office as well trying to get this mysterious emergency check. After 24 hours I still had not heard anything, so I called the payroll office again, and was told that the first week was added to the second week (40 hours) check. So, Friday rolls around again, and I go and check my mail. No check. I call the payroll dept. again and was told that a replacement check would be cut for me and that it would be shipped overnight per UPS and I should receive it Saturday. I received a tracking number in my email as well. Well it's Saturday, no check has shown up, and when checking where the check is supposed to be on UPS website the info says the billing information was voided less than 3 hours after it was received yesterday. I still have not been paid for my hours worked, I have missed work because of this, doctors appointments have been missed as well, and bills have not been paid because I have not received the money I have earned. With companies pulling stunts like this it's no wonder why our economy is in the toilet.

Discrimination
I was on an assignment through Adecco, and I complained that their client was extremely unprofessional in dealing with the temps that Adecco had sent to their company, including verbal and racial harassment.
I was surprised to find out that after the training had completed, I was not even given a chance to work on the production floor, and was given a total of three customer calls to prove myself, which was obviously a setup since the other temps were normally given one business day with numerous calls to prove their work ability in the call center.
Needless to say, the employer had informed Adecco that i had complained about their illegal behaviour and Adecco went along with the company since all they care about is money, and they treat their temps like units of labour, who are no longer useful if not generating revenue.

Adecco UK places job vanacy's on Monster.co.uk even though the vanacy has been closed for over one week.
Also when you register with them, they don't bother informing you about any vanacy at all.

Pay
I worked as an Administrator within an Adecco branch and I could see how they treated the candidates let alone the actual staff who worked there I.E myself.
I was only at Adecco for just over 4 months when my contract had to be terminated due to cost and the recent recession and my manager called me in to tell me the bad news I was given 1 weeks notice and was allowed to leave to give me time to search for a new job (this was a favour promised by my manager)
Pay day came - I didnt get paid!
I have sent numerous emails and phone calls to HR and my manager who is lucky enough to be away on holiday for 3 weeks.
Adecco are money grabbing, horrible and selfish and don't care about there own staff let alone anyh agency workers. Dont work for them and don't register with them

Returning of Personal Belongings
I worked with Adecco on an assignment and was fired due to " inaccurate details on my background check* which when I checked with Lexxus Nexxus I had written everything correctly. Secondly, after being terminated I had some personal belongings that were at a Client job site. One of the staffing consultants that I had been working with advised me that he would go over to the client to retrieve my stuff. I was let go in October 2008. For 2 months I had been trying to contact him about my things, and he had not returned my calls. Being fed up, I tried to speak with his Supervisor and she started to get upset with me and stating "we can not treat our workplaces like our lockers." Are you kidding me???? She then also did not even want to let me say a word, and seeing this I started to give her some attitude to show her that I was being serious and would not subject myself to their playing of games. That call did NO justice and now I just called the HR department at Adecco to complain. I spoke with a nice woman there who told me she was going to look into the situation, but couldnt promise me if my stuff was still there. I feel like this "staffing consultant" did this on purpose. I am highly upset and all I was requesting was just to get my stuff back. What is so hard about that?????????? This agency is a total ripoff, not to mention on one assignment I was "let go" because they wanted to bring someone else in. So why have me report to work that day??? So upset...dont waste your time on these people or they will scam and ram you!!!

Discriminatory Practices
I was a Staffing Consultant at Adecco in Phoenix, Arizona, for over a year and a half, and if you are looking for work, do not waste your time with this company!
Adecco abides by a "policy" of bringing as many applicants in as possible in order to meet weekly production goals. They have no intention of ever placing you! The management is horrible, and even worse, there is no policy regarding provision of "Customer Service". Most of the recruiters will not take your calls, return messages, and are not on your side, only their client's side. In addition, these same recruiters will make up lies by saying they have "no jobs available that match your skill set".
One of the worst examples I can provide is in regards to my boyfriend, who I placed on an assignment with Charles Schwab. I will call him John.
John worked for Charles Schwab for almost a year, but still had not been hired on permanently as Schwab was in the midst of a hiring freeze. To give you some background information, however, on July 16, 2008, I was fired for allegedly falsifying a PDF file. Everyone knows Adobe Acrobat was created to protect documents, so as you are aware, it is impossible to alter any information. Keep in mind, my Branch Manager at the time hated me, because I believed in "quality, not quantity", and did not want to bring applicants in to waste their time, etcetera. When she fired me, she refused to show me this supposed falsified document as well.
Back to my example, one week later, my boyfriend was arriving to work and his badge didn't work. At that moment he received a call from the Onsite at Schwab stating he had been fired from Adecco for poor quality of work. POOR QUALITY OF WORK!?! John was the team lead in his department, and was the only employee who had security access to various programs at Schwab. In addition, his manager had given him promotions as well! Half way through the day, John's manager at Schwab asked several employees why John had not shown up to work.
HE HAD NO IDEA ADECCO FIRED HIM, because John's manager had NOT REQUESTED his employment be terminated. ADECCO FIRED JOHN BECAUSE OF ME!!!
In short, stay FAR, FAR AWAY from Adecco!!!

Terrible company
I did a contract with them for West Sussex Police HQ in April 08 then tried to get paid for the job. I have sent many emails to the client and to Adecco, but no payment received for over two months. The stress the emails the time spent on trying to get any word or response out of this company, their customer relations, their respect with their client knowing these emails were sent to their client also, their staff are appalling. Still I get no response from any email address from any email found on their website worldwide.
I gave them warning that I would post details of them scamming contractors out of pay on the internet and I would flood google with my experience. After a couple of months a payment was given, but the wrong payment was given. I have sent many emails to Adecco world wide, directed at all their CEO's, to their press office and the customer relations, basically all email addresses I could find on the internet. I gave them a warning that I would post this on complaintsboard.com and it would damage the internet presence. I told them for the sake of £200 this was not worth it and it would be silly to not respond to me.
After many many emails and time spent, I have had no reply from any of my emails. I have told them I now do not want my payment, but would prefer to make it a mission to expose my experience with them on the internet.
I will refuse to work for them and let them get away with my money without letting everyone know that this is the worst agency I have ever dealt with in my over 12 years of contracting.
