I live in a basement apartment. My landlords live upstairs and supply cable tv for the whole house. When I explained to Adelphia that I wanted cable internet connection they said it was no problem to send out two separate bills. Mine consisting of 29.95 for internet only. I got the bill yesterday and it was almost $50 and cable tv charges were on it, so was my name and my landlords name. They never separated the bill. Since yesterday I have spent hours on the phone with customer service getting only rude customer service reps and even one stating "there is no way in hell I will separate the bill for you, so you better just disconnect it". When I asked to talk to his supervisor he stated "Now whats that gonna do for ya?" I called back several times hoping to get someone nice on the phone.
When I felt I did they wont take the charges away, and insist that I never should have gotten service because two separate bills are against Adelphia's policy. My landlord never agreed to have this charge put on his bill, yet it still is and my internet is taken away due to poor customer service. Now extra holes are drilled in the house for internet service I can never use, and Adelphia refuses to fix them. I was lied to by Adelphia's sales representatives just so they could
make the sale and get my money. Horrible experience.
