Rude Employees
I shop on Advance and am a commerical customer and have seen the treatment of Delivery people from the Dept manager. First the language is outrages, these woman and men do there best and you can't do any more when management is more worried about there bonus than workers, Lets share the wealth overall with all hard workers not just a few, and lets answer the phones. 1 call, 2 calls, 3 calls, boy I could keep going, and lets not blame worker Ive seen management stand there and chat and ringing away, And its funny how some people can be given one price and others another price depends on who you are, lets keep prices fair across the board. its seems like management passes the blame off and work off and wheres there blame. You can't shove work off on drives and expect them to drive also. management should do there own jobs and work together .

decrimanation
i was at advance auto in canton, ohio . i was first in line, the woman that was working was on the phone, so i waited . when she finish she ask the costumers behind me was it ok to take care of me first. it was at the cleveland ave store in canton ohio, monday at 1:30pm. People like her need to be fired, i will stop all my friends from going to asdvance auto. i am black, that tells you the story. What kind of people you have working there any way. I did contact a lawyer, and i do have a wittness. please do something about this, it has to stop some where. You know who she is, she was the only woman working at that time.

Terrible company
They sold me a 1999 truck that broke down in 4 days. After 2 attempts car still didn't work on third try swapped to a 2000 truck same make color for 1999 price but more miles with no new bill of sale, plate or contract done had me rolling with wrong paperwork and copied my signature for second truck and repossess car for late payment of 4 days and a fee of 300 with breaching contract and changes of price in order to receive car back from 555.00 to 618.00 when inquiring why change because I'm the owner.

Overcharged
I went to my local advance auto on Tuesday 1/14/09 to purchase oil for an oil change because Wal-Mart did not have Mobil 1 5W-30 in stock. I went to the register to pay and asked about price match. The woman at the register named Lisa told me very rudely that 'We don't match discount store prices like Wal-Mart and Sam's Club!' and “We only price match our competitors."

I was in awe by this because last time I checked, Wal-Mart was a competitor. I was having a good day but after dealing with a person that comes back with a stupid response and that specific tone of voice as I should already know this. I picked up an ad and at the bottom of the page it reads “If you find the exact same item or merchandise of the same brand, part number, and warranty priced lower at any local retail competitor we will match the price once verified".

I contacted the company about my problem with no response. I gave the local store a chance by showing the CSR my receipts from Wal-Mart at $6.27 a quart and Advance Auto shelf tag at $7.99 a quart but just told me they did not have to. As far as I can tell, Advance is falsely advertising and if it was not a free market, price gouging. I suggest that people go to an honest company like NAPA for automotive parts.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
I went to Advance auto specifically to purchase parts(control arms) for my vehicle, i was told the parts weren't available but by special order i could get it the next day.I agreed to this and made a $280 payment immediately.
The next day i got there to pick the part and i was told it still hadn't come in, i was offered an alternative part which i was very skeptical about and i turned it down. Once again i was told to come back the next day which i did but i was still not provided with the part i ordered.I was still assured by the store associate that it was going to arrive the next day.
The last time i went to that store on 10/27/08 was my 5th time there for the same purpose .This time i was told to wait a few minutes because the UPS delivery was being awaited, i complied with this advice but waited to no avail as it was already getting late having waited for about 2 hours.I decided to ask an associate about this part again just incase they had forgotten about me but to my surprise this store associate named Brad snapped at me and became so defensive stressing that he wasn't the one who told me to keep coming back insisting that i should go talk with UPS myself. Okay then may i speak to your manager on duty please, i politely asked and he said he was the manager and had a big mockery grin on his face(like what you wanna do 'bout it huh?).
I told him if he was a manager he needed to speak to me with more respect but at this point he became so beligerent, confrontational and argumentative, he used very vulgar words on me, he called me a "FOOL, IDIOT, STUPID BASTARD" I was so confused, i asked another associate named REGGIE to assist me but he also joined his manager in cursing me out.At this point i decided to leave the store and later called the Sherriff to come intervene and the took over from there, However throughout this ordeal i recorded the EVERYTHING for evidence in court.
